Working with TW Homes on our renovation and expansion project for our 1930s colonial was a great experience. We were connected with TW through our architect, and right from the start they gave us a clear cost estimate and timeline for our renovation and expansion of our 1930s brick colonial. The project foreman was on-site every day, and kept us up to date on the progress of the project through frequent emails and texts, and even sent us daily photos as the work moved along. Whenever an obstacle came up, TW had a solution. The quality of the work is excellent, and the job was completed on-time and on-budget. Other families in our neighborhood who have completed home renovation projects always seemed to have complaints about their contractors, but we honestly have only good things to say about TW. We would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a stress-free project!

We found Trent through our architect (Tripp DeFalco, who I also highly recommend) and could not have been happier. We turned our one-story 50’s rambler into a two story craftsman-style home, so it was an extensive project. The work has been near flawless, and when it wasn’t, it was quickly corrected. Trent gave us an eight month timeline for our project and stuck to that almost to the day. His wonderful project manager was on site every day and continues to be very responsive as we find little punch list fixes after moving in. I heard so many horror stories from friends and family who have done these kinds of projects about shoddy work, MIA project managers, extended completion deadlines, etc., but with TW Homes we had none of that. Can’t recommend enough!

I hear horror stories about contractors but after building a house with TW Homes, we would build a home with them thousand times again. We felt like we were in the best hands working with Trent and his team. They truly put their clients firsts. When issues arise (because it is construction so there are bond to be issues), they handled them with clear communication, problem solving, and honesty. The quality of their work (and that of their subcontractors) is top notch. Be prepared to be blown away!

We were referred to TW Holmes by our Architect and it couldn’t have been a better match! Our project was a complete home renovation on our sweet cape cod 1940’s home, which included tearing the home down to the studs and adding a 3-story addition. A builder who has experience with home renovations and a communicative/organized approach to the process as a whole, were our top priorities. Trent met those priorities and more; he is honest, pricing is competitive, work is quality, communication is a priority, and timelines were met even with the unique circumstances of 2020. We could not love our house more, we whole-heartedly recommend Trent, and even consider Trent to be a friend!

Our experience from start to finish with TWHomes was awesome. From the first quote until the last contractor left the house, there was clear communication, good attitudes, knowledge of all materials and procedures, respectful environment, quality craftsmanship and a good time! We hired Trent to rebuild our house from the first floor and up. Despite the Covid-19 crisis, things went smoothly and we didn't even have a delay. TW Homes was our builder for a two-story (plus basement) addition to our 1950s Arlington colonial. Trent is a person of integrity and it showed throughout the project, as well as in the final product, which looks beautiful and functions just as well. Not only is Trent highly organized, but he keeps to his word - if he says a project will be done in 5 months, it will (as ours was). Our neighbors marveled at how hard and efficiently his team worked. At every step of the process, he set clear expectations and made sure we knew what he needed from us to keep things on track. In a large project, that guidance and leadership was both critical and comforting. And when the inevitable surprises popped up, he worked with us and our architect to find the right solution. We hired TW Homes to help renovate our 1950s rambler. The project primarily consisted of a new front porch and walkway; a full kitchen and bathroom renovation; a family room addition with a screened in porch underneath; and a bump out of the right side of the house. TW Homes did an incredible job in terms of quality and craftsmanship. We are so pleased with the end result. Everyone we worked with was extremely professional and courteous. The project met our expected deadline and what we appreciated most in terms of the schedule is the consistent communication we received. We had been looking for move-in ready homes for over a year and we were very disappointed with the overpriced inventory in the Fairfax County market. We had come to the realization that we were going to end up spending upwards of $1M on something that was outdated and would still need investment/improvements to ultimately get the home that we wanted. When we met Trent, he suggested that we change our home search criteria to look for less expensive, two-story ranch houses that we could turn into a three story home of our dreams. After seeing examples of Trent's work and getting to know Trent as a very trustworthy and hard-working individual, we became convinced that it was the direction we wanted to take to get a custom home. As we found potential homes, we would bring Trent along to look at the properties to make sure that we could do everything with it that we wanted. It was very helpful to have him involved from the beginning because we avoided making costly decisions that would require us to renovate a house both "up" and "out" to get the size and functionality we were looking for. He also helped us to secure the house that we ultimately found because he felt comfortable proposing we go into the house sale waiving inspections after feeling comfortable about the structural quality and knowing all the work we were planning to put in. When we finally found the property that we wanted in Nov 2017, Trent helped us get to work quickly to design the home of our dreams. He completed a very detailed schedule that covered the design, permitting, and construction process and despite some obstacles that we had with septic permits (challenges caused by mother nature) and a Winter with challenging weather, he managed to complete the project on-time and we moved into the home on schedule in early June 2018. We found that Trent was very accurate with his allowances. In the beginning, I thought there were some areas that we too high and others too low, but overall things turned out pretty spot on and he did a great job with the estimates after getting to know us and our preferences. Any areas that we had overages were because changes we decided to make once we got further into the project. Overall we were very pleased with TW Homes throughout the remodel process. The completed home turned out much better than we could have ever imagined and we would highly recommend him and his team to anyone. The quality of his work is outstanding and he holds his contractors to very high standards.

We hired TW Homes in the fall of 2017 to build an addition to our Arlington colonial and it was a smooth process from start to finish. From the moment we hired him, Trent was honest, trustworthy, and responsive. His initial estimate was far more in depth than other builders we interviewed, including a detailed schedule of the construction process. Beyond that, he rigorously stuck to the schedule and made sure we made decisions in a timely manner. From demo to move-in was about 5 months, exactly as promised. We never could have imagined this would be the case and we were thrilled at his ability to stick to his timeline. Perhaps more importantly, the home Trent built for us is beautiful. His allowances were generous and any additional expenses beyond our contract price were because of changes we made. His team did not cut corners in the construction process, but instead went the extra mile to ensure that the details were completed as they should be. He worked well with our architect and was always willing to listen to changes that we (or our architect) would suggest. Based on our experience over the past year, I highly recommend TW Homes.

We bought a house totally redone by tradition renovations. To say this is our dream house would be an understatement. Everything from the floor plan to the fixtures was done with purpose and incredible taste. It was the first house we ever walked in that we said "we want to change nothing". We have been in the house about six months and still love everything about it. We had a few minor things that needed attention and the tradition team tended to them immediately. We feel like we bought a house and a partnership.
