Transformer Table

This place has got to be one of the worst companies I have had to deal with when it comes to after purchase customer service. They are happy to talk to you about information on their web site, but when it comes to actual issues with the delivered product they push you to the "warranty dept" that refuses to talk on the phone and to which the customer service dept apparently has no visibility. "Sorry we can't help you, you have to email the warranty dept." how is that a response from the Customer Service manager. The table came out of the shipping container with a damaged corner like it was dropped on the corner before or during shipping and they want us to be happy with $250 and some touch up paint. Sure if it was a $300 table but its a $3,000 table. Buyer Beware, If you have any issues with this product don't expect them to solve it. Oh but you can return, only if you can get it all back into the original packaging and you want to pay for the return shipping.

The bench arrived split in multiple places. One crack ran all the way down to the leg, making the bench unusable. I thought it'd be easy enough to get a replacement. They will want you to disassemble the bench, pack and haul the part of the mechanism (which weights 40 pounds) to USP and mail it back, and only after that, they will issue a replacement. Then you will have to wait another month or two, deal with a horrible shipping company they use, and haul this 100+ pound box all over again. On top of that, the customer service rep is rude and condescending. Regardless of the quality of furniture, this kind of stress is just not worth it. If you are willing to risk it, go for it. Just know that there's a good chance you will have problems, given the cheap shipping company they use and the way they pile the heavy boxes on a pellet. The furniture is fine, but it's definitely not something you keep for life. The wood is soft (you put a hard object down a bit hard, it will dent.). The finish is very thin (I know this because I saw it from the numerous cracks). I am nervous to put anything down without a coaster. Some of the panels don't line up very well, leaving a bit of gaps. The design is good and it feels solid. I'd give 3/5 for the product. Overall, I wish I went with another option from an experienced manufacturer and reputable dealer with actual customer service.

I was shocked to notice the wood cracking in each of the three pieces within 3 months. I ordered the transformer table plus two benches. What shocked me more is that the company isn't honorong their warranty. Months passed after submitting the claim then respond offering $150 and some touch up paint? How does paint repair cracks and separation in the wood? I sent pictures both top and bottom reflecting cracks all the way through the wood. From their email response: "After closely inspecting all the documents and emails, Warranty has decided on a $150 compensation with touch-up paint as a final resolution to your claim. We believe that this resolution is suitable for your specific scenario and is the appropriate compensation to your issue." No negotiations? What about your warranty? The product is literally falling apart at every section. The cracks are causing the leaves to not line up. The product is garbage for $2,400.00! They won't even send replacement leaves? What kind of buyer support or warranty is that? Unbelievable. Completely dissatisfied. I do not recommend this product. they will remove any negative comments or reviews from their site.

Best case scenario Transformer Table has terrible customer service. Worst case scenario, it’s a scam. I bought 3K worth of stuff, paid in full, then never got it. Despite calling and emailing the company, they would not provide any estimate of when my stuff would actually ship. I disputed the charges on my credit card and received a full refund. I recommend you do the same. If you need more than my review, google “Transformer Table Scam” and read some reviews. Also, there is an entire Facebook page titled “Don’t buy Transformer Table”.

BUYER BEWARE!! 7+ month delay, horrible customer service, and a minimum 9% charge if you cancel or return your order. I ordered a table over 7 months ago (January 2020). I received only one update from the company in February on the status of my order. After 7 months of waiting (and 10 attempts at contacting the company), I finally gave up on waiting and requested a refund. Unless you are infinitely patient, and don't mind risking having to deal with horrendous customer service should you have issues with your table, save yourself the trouble.

It frustrates me to have to write this poor review for what seems to be a great product I was looking forward to receiving. On June 14, 2020 I purchased a Transformer Expandable Dining Table in Hardwood and Transformer Coffee Table 3.0 both in Canadian dark oak (order # US-3115). Within one day, I received an email stating “your order is on its way”. Today is July 9, 2020 and I have yet to be contacted as promised by the Logistics Department confirming my ship date and tracking number. I was told it would take them 5 days to call me and still not call. Furthermore, most of the time I call the customer service number during business hours, I get voicemail. Now I have to go through the process of trying to get a refund for a product I was really excited to get and could use. You seem to have a wonderful product but your customer service is dreadful. Just manage your customer expectations and tell them the truth!

I purchased their table a year ago, and it has since warped and cracked as it seems to have been made with wood that was not dried properly. I have been trying to contact them for a warranty claim, but have simply been ignored by them.

The table arrived late, scratched, marred on the top end piece, and gets marked way too easy. Definitely not the heat resistant table they said it would be!

The product is nice for the first couple of months and then the poor quality starts to show. The ethics of the company are terrible, but you wouldn't know because they carefully curate the comments on their webpage and on Facebook. Check out their page on Kickstarter for reviews that the company can't delete. Do not purchase from them. It's a nightmare and a lost investment.
