Our home in Eagle is amazing to live in. Tradewinds General Contracting was fabulous to work with and hires professional and talented office staff and sub-contractors. They made certain we met all the subs and were involved in every process and phase of home building. Steve Martinez is a kind and generous listener who caters to his clients wants and needs and was always available. Our project superintendent Rick Morrow was exceptional. Our designer Judith Balis is an extremely talented, witty and down to earth professional who knew where to spend money and where creativity could be substituted to save the budget. Tradewinds delivers what they promise. Be prepared to buy quality and cry once.

I have had the great pleasure and honor of working with the Tradewinds crew to design and build several homes in the Eagle and Meridian areas, and I can honestly say that the care and attention they give to every single one of their homes whether it be a million dollar custom home for a client or budget friendly spec house, is like none-other. It is a family owned and operated business, and Steve Martinez puts his heart and soul (and wonderful sense of humor) into every single home.

We recently worked with Tradewinds General Contracting and remodeled our kitchen and did brand new flooring throughout our home. Working with this company and Ted the contractor was such an amazing experience. The work they did was beautiful and I trusted every recommendation they had for design purposes. I was never worried to leave it in their hands. Whenever we had any questions or concerns they were always quick to respond and courteous. We now have our dream kitchen and its all thanks to this company. They were so understanding of our situation and were always willing to work around any obstacles we faced. I never imagined the process would be this easy, and they are the reason why. I would recommend them over anyone else, hands down.

I have to say, i have worked with most of the builders in the Treasure Valley and i am impressed everyday about how knowledgeable Steve and his amazing team are. I have never seen such a dedicated staff who have all said. "Steve treats us like his family" When you have a staff around you that believe that much in the product you know that is a fantastic company. Steve is honest with his clients, with total transparency of the process and answers the hard questions when needed. The vision he has for projects is so above any other builders i have ever worked with you will not regret making that call or appointment and letting him show you. You wont be disappointed .

Tradewinds is a great company. We chose them as they where the only one that would be honest about the costs of the project we did. From day 1 they where direct and that allowed us to the make the correct decisions. The majority of the actual design of our home was done prior to meeting with them but they did have a hand in some finishing touches. They do a great job of making the process fun and keeping their subs on time. i have recommended multiple people to them and would suggest anyone looking for a luxury build job use them. I am an independent Realtor who has worked with Tradewinds and numerous other builders in our area for several years. I know Tradewinds to be the most genuine quality builder in the state of Idaho. They truly are a hands on builder and go the extra mile for each and every client, starting from the day they meet with new clients to the final closing. We relayed the info to Steve at Tradewinds, even though the issue was not that of a builders responsibility and even though she was four years past her warranty, Tradewinds went in and helped this client and remediated the problem. That is so above and beyond, my thinking was "Who does that in this industry?" Their reputation is unsurpassed throughout the area. It is my good fortune and truly a pleasure to work with Tradewinds and to see how genuinely happy their clients are with their brand new “one of a kind” custom homes . After a great deal of research we decided to have Tradewinds build our new home in 2015. Steve Martinez and his team did not disappoint. There were zero issues and it was an exceptionally positive experience. There were no surprises or hidden fees, and all of the work was of the highest quality. Steve and Clint were at the house every day ensuring the house moved along smoothly and seamlessly. The attention to detail was incredible. All costs were laid out up front and every month we received a detailed spreadsheet on costs from each sub. Steve and his team are professional, easy to work with and most importantly honest. We highly recommend Tradewinds and if we build again we will use them.

Tradewinds Contracting built a new custom home for us in Mace River Ranch, in Eagle, Idaho. The home was built in 2014. We designed this house from the ground up and Steve Martinez was excellent to work with every step of the way. He is more than a builder, but also skilled as a home designer. He took our concepts and brought them to life. We love our home and what he created for us. He was easy to communicate with and what is normally a very stressful experience was actually very fun. The home came in under budget and was finished a little early, which was a nice surprise. From the beginning, this building company led me to believe that they could change out the kitchen sink with a different one with no difficulties. Later when they were to come and install the new sink they said they needed me to sign something not holding them responsible if the granite countertop shatters during installation. Perhaps this is why the builder wanted me to wait until after closing to have the sink installed. He said he wanted me to be there so he could get it just the way I wanted it. You can imagine my disappointment and frustration coming from a highly reputable company.

We worked with Tradewinds General Contracting on "The Soho Project". The flooring, chosen by the client, was a Solid Prefinished Oak Hardwood Floor that really added to the overall industrial beauty of this home. A more detailed photo of the hardwood floor that was installed is shown below. The entire Tradewinds team was very professional and a pleasure to work with. The sub contractors were all kept on schedule and the project moved very smoothly from beginning to end. Tradewinds General Contracting builds beautiful homes. We would highly recommend them. I hired Tradewinds General Contracting to build my house in Castlebury West Subdivision. This was the first house I have ever built. I was very nervous as it was a big project for me.
