I would leave zero stars if I could. Bought a brand new home built by them. Had lots of little issues along with several big issues shortly after moving in. We brought our concerns to Mike and he insisted that he would take care of them. A YEAR went by before he showed up to do any of the work. He didn't touch half of our concerns. One we had to pay for ourselves early on cause he refused to take responsibility for it (even though he just built it. It was in the craftsmanship). The others that were touched weren't fixed correctly and we still have issues to this day. We finally got him to come back out to address some of the same issues, he then refused to accept responsibility for said issues and told us its not his problem. All we asked him to do was make it all right. To do the right thing. It's sad, I have had more issues from my "NEW" house than I did from my 10 yr old custom house we owned previously. I would never recommend anyone to buy from him with the way he handled our situation.

Tinsley and Company built our home in Mills River, NC. Mike truly is an amazing builder. From day one he was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the process. He is patient, listens to you and helps make solid suggestions. From start to finish you will have a quality home. You won’t find a more organized builder. The flow of the build ran so smoothly. No hang ups and always running on time with the process. All aspects are top notch. If we had to do it again, Tinsley and Company would be our first choice. Anthony and Cindy A.

We hired Tinsley & Co in winter 2019 for 2,800 sq ft new build, designed by Riseroot. Mike Tinsley personally over every detail, and we were in a premium custom built home as Thanksgiving rolled. The speed and scheduling was meticulous and every tradesman working on our home courteous and experienced. Building a new home with ANY builder is stressful, if you think otherwise...then don’t build a custom home. However, how the builder helps manage client stress and communications is key and Mike and his team are kind hearted, sharp minded and responsive. Everyone in our neighborhood has commented on the beauty and attention to detail. And, when you can end a project and have made a new friend in your builder, then all the better.

We had S&T Sulaski & Tinsley constructed our new home last year in Mills River, NC. We selected a model which they had built previously, and were able to customize it to suit our site and our preferences. Because our previous home sold sooner than expected, we had a very tight time-frame for construction due to a rental lease we had signed. Sulaski & Tinsley were able to complete our new home on-schedule and at the agreed upon price. We are very happy with the quality of construction and with the service we received. I highly recommend this company!

This was our first home building experience, although we owned several homes before and did typical improvements. We went in with eyes wide open based on friend's horror stories about building from scratch. The Good News: Mike Tinsley built our 1582 square foot home on a cleared lot during a Western North Carolina winter. The whole project took only four months from ground breaking to certificate of occupancy. It was a great experience starting from our first meeting with Mike through completion. (There is no Bad News). Mike always had our lifestyle in mind during the build process - lot location, home design and customization, interior/exterior finishes and landscaping, He often suggested ideas that we had not considered, Continuous two-way communication via personal visits, texts, phone calls & the Co-Construct website kept the build process as worry-free as possible. Design, budget and time, were thoughtfully addressed. We used a Co-Construct internet program with Mike, communicating and documenting our particular home design specifications, from flooring, window, appliance, lighting, roofing, paint colors, etc. This program kept the homebuilding choices, process and budget clear to everyone involved in the build. During the entire building process, all of the neighbors in our subdivision were awed by Mike’s conscience attention to the build and the impact on the neighborhood. Mike was on the site daily to direct the subcontractor tradespeople. Many of the sub’s have been with Mike 10-15+ years. The tradespeople were exceptional at their craft, very clean with their workspace and respectful and communicative to the the neighbors and to us. I have worked with Mike for a number of years. Size of the project has no bearing on Mikes attention to detail. His integrity is a driving force of his desire to see the best end result. Our last project was while we lived in the home and Mike made sure we were not inconvenienced. I highly recommend Tinsley and Company. The project involved a complete interior refreshing and deck repairs.

I have known Mike Tinsley for several years. He built a beautiful house for me in the Southcliff Community in Fairview, NC. When the time came to sell the house ten years later, Mike immediately came to mind. He was thorough in all aspects of listing and selling the home.
