We made an excellent decision when we hired TIDG to remodel our 100+ year-old house. Originally, we approached TIDG to renovate the main floor. We liked the layout of the house and wanted to maintain as many original details as possible, such as ceiling medallions, dark stained baseboards, and light fixtures. Because we have a significant collection of antiques, including gramophones, radios and clocks, we envisioned a décor inspired by the 1920s and 1930s for the living and dining rooms. The kitchen needed a complete remodel. We wanted a fun space with lots of colours, textures and patterns that maximizes prep and storage space and is easy to keep clean. During the planning process it became clear that we would need to move out of the house, and we didn’t like the prospect of doing it again in the next few years to address issues on the other floors, like removing knobs and tubes, replacing old plaster and windows, and adding a second bathroom in the basement. Suddenly, the scope of the project pretty much doubled. Working with Yanic and Jaclyn was a blast. They have impeccable taste, pay attention to every detail and are excellent project managers. They also kept a close eye on the schedule, and managed to limit delays related to late adds-on to the project. And, very importantly, they never over-promise and under-deliver. Thanks to their expertise and savoir-faire, they made the whole experience as painless and stress-free as possible. And, the end result is above and beyond what we originally envisioned.

We hired Toronto Interior Design Group to help us design and furnish our open plan main floor. Yanic and Jaclyn presented unique and interesting ideas resulting in a spectacular end result. We would have never had the nerve to choose and follow through on some of the items they selected but we had complete faith in their style and design sense and the results speak for themselves. We hired Yanic and his team to help us with a bathroom reno and we could not be happier with the results. The team is superbly professional, from coming up with the design concepts, to the execution team on-site at our home. Everything was of the highest quality and finish. I have been working with the Toronto Interior Design Group over the past few months now (I was referred to them by another one of their long time repeat clients) and I have to say that the results have been outstanding. Downsizing into a new condo can be a difficult thing when starting from almost scratch and they assisted every step of the way, making the process smooth and enjoyable. The team was so attentive to my needs and really understood the space. They came up with beautifully elegant options for all of my furnishings and decor; their outside of the box thinking and helping me go beyond the boundaries of my comfort zone into ideas I never would have imagined has been by far the most exciting part of the process. Being in the industry over 25yrs. working with a lot of Bay St. corporations, I have encountered many different experiences. Besides being impressed with his expert taste as Interior Designer, Yanic became an invaluable resource to us because of his deep knowledge and lifelong experience in construction management. While any renovation project will inevitably bring its headaches and obstacles, Yanic's approach was to focus on solutions; He lead by example. I have had the great pleasure of working with TIDG team for the past 10 years. Yanic runs a very successful firm and is considered Toronto's leading Interior designers. Apart from his expertise and providing invaluable advice to his clients, Yanic and his team exude kindness and generosity. We had the honor of working as the GCs with Yanic Simard and his project manager, Jaclyn Gray, of Toronto Interior Design Group (TIDG), on the renovation of none other than Yanic's own condo at Miami Beach. We knew that we wanted to completely re-design the guest and master bathrooms in our condominium unit, but we were a bit lost on what specific finishes we wanted, what colours and textures would work, and how to tie it all together with lighting. Our project was a big investment for us and we wanted to get it right. Upon the recommendation of our contractor (with whom we have used for other big and small renovations projects in our home), we decided to retain TIDG. To be honest, I was a bit intimidated to approach a high end design firm such as TIDG, but we found Yanic and his team to be very grounded and professional. To my mind, the final results are stunning. The ideas that we were presented with were things we never would have arrived at on our own - and even if we did land on those ideas, we likely would not have had the confidence to follow through on them. The quality of the materials and the environmentally sensitive fixtures and finishing selected by TIDG are as thoughtful as they are beautiful. The outcome completely suits our design ethos and our lifestyle. I have no hesitation recommending Yanic and his team (Jaclyn was a delight to work with throughout the project).
