The salespeople are very helpful, but inaccurate when specifically questioned about details, the fabrics are lovely...that is the end of the good news. I ordered an outdoor sectional sofa, the Melrose, and encountered unexplained delays, damaged merchandise TWICE, very slow/no problem resolution (seemingly no real attempt to work on replacing the damaged couch the second time), no communication on the status of follow up deliveries, and the most full-of-attitude customer service person I have ever encountered. My most recent problem was acknowledged by email on August 1st, and I called today (8/16/16), because I hadn't heard anything, to find out there was essentially NO STATUS of my replacement item...but that the extended delay in getting another piece out to me was because my "special case of two damaged deliveries was being address with special attention and special packing."...? I started this process in April, to have a full summer with new outdoor furniture... Also note: The material (for the "wicker" webbing) used in the Melrose furniture, which is a new line for Thos Baker, is nowhere near as strong or durable as other outdoor furniture I have owned. I had requested a sample before ordering, but from the small, tight sample square provided I could not tell that it was hollow, rather thin-walled plastic tubing which seems to be weakened by stretching (which may explain some of the damage I witnessed on items delivered to me), and may break with normal force.. The structure of the Melrose pieces also provides ample opportunities for nesting pests (wasps, yellowjackets, etc.).

My interior designer ordered 6 deck chairs for me last year. After less than one year of use [and indoor storage in the winter] the frame of one of the chairs is splitting. Unfortunately, Thos Baker's customer service has had a completely unsatisfactory response. They do not have the chair I purchased in stock, so it cannot be replaced. I can buy 6 new chairs [at a 30% discount]. I paid $1700 for these chairs last year and am unwilling to pay a similar amount for money for 6 new chairs 1 year later - and I am very concerned about the quality of their product [that they do not stand behind]. Very disappointed in this company.

I've ordered two teak tables for my clients in the past year and both have been very high quality, have arrived promptly and the customer service has been helpful and pleasant.
