Thomson Lavers Architects Ltd

The practice was set up in 2003 by Andrew Thomson and Lucy Lavers. At the time, Andrew was a Project Director at Foster and Partners working on Lord Foster’s own house in the south of France, as well as the transformation of Trafalgar Square and Imperial College. Lucy worked with Michael Hopkins Architects on the Glyndebourne Opera House and also with Jeremy Dixon Architects. While taking a sabbatical to work on their own house, they were approached to design and run projects under their own name. Lucy is a co-founder of Our Hut, an educational charity introducing school children to Architecture. Impassioned by design and meticulous in implementation, our aim is to help our clients to achieve their goals whatever their programme and budget. With a diverse portfolio of successfully completed projects, we have worked on the transformation of listed buildings, and on newly built projects including artists’ studios and private houses as well as in the sports, industrial and education sectors.
