Founded by Darragh Thomas James Hughes, a fourth-generation joiner and craftsman, each Thomas James project is born of techniques that define enduring pieces. Given its first breath of life by Thomas James’ designer, Alicia Hughes, each project is tailored to reflect the client's personal style and unique vision. From the materials chosen and the way they are formed, to each finish, Thomas James is truly defined by authenticity. Our projects range from bathroom vanity cabinets to complete large kitchens with fully integrated appliances. We custom make all of our cabinetry from natural and sustainably sourced wood products and use naturally based custom stained and/or painted finishes. Each and every project is different and we customize all aspects to the client, their space, their wants, and their needs. We contracted Thomas James Cabinetry Inc. to outfit our office in Port Carling. The quality of workmanship is unmatched by any manufacturer, local or otherwise. The furniture is absolutely beautiful and will be enjoyed for many years to come. Alicia and Darragh were very professional, stuck to our budget and met our deadlines (which were tight). Job well done and we are very satisfied.

Alicia really listens to what you want & puts her heart into every design, to make it a reality. Their entire team works seamlessly to create your dream come true. Meet them and you will see they are different. When you are creating your dream, you want someone who cares as much as you do about your project. Thomas James Cabinetry really puts their heart into everything they do. We hired them for our kitchen, but once we saw how amazing they were, we ended having them do custom furniture & finishes for our entire cottage! The end result is spectacular and has been featured in magazines! Thomas James Cabinetry is the only choice. Amazing!!! The BEST!!!!

We had our cottage kitchen done by Thomas James a few years ago and we were very happy with it. The cabinets were beautifully crafted and we loved the fact that they use only environmentally friendly materials. This year we used them again for our new kitchen in the city. Their cabinets look amazing and function well and they customized every cabinet according to our needs. We also appreciated lots of great design advice for all the finishes, lighting choices, appliances etc. They are friendly, reliable and very passionate about their work. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fabulous job, actually breath taking! Their design team and craftsmen completed a cottage vintage theme kitchen, island and double vanity on time and on budget! They executed the plans from concept to execution with great attention to detail, quality work, follow up and customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone contemplating a large project or small one and plan on using them again for other rooms.
