Bill and his team did an amazing job for our remodel. We wanted to update our recently purchased home with new floors, new paint, kitchen and living room update. Bill was exceptional and did everything we wanted within a reasonable timeframe. The aspect I appreciated the most was Bill's excellent communication. I could call him directly and he always responded. Any questions or concerns were quickly addressed. I met a lot of his subcontractors and they were nice to interact with and very receptive to our plans. Bill, his wife, Kelsey, and his entire team were all really nice people. My wife and I felt very lucky to have found Tier1 and would recommend them without reservation.

I was super impressed with Tier 1 right from the start! I called the spring to inquire about a first floor renovation project that was brought on because of a water leak. Bill called me back very quickly and proceeded to spend an hour on the phone with me to talk about the project and good questions to ask other contractors as I was just beginning my search. I was so impressed with the our phone conversation and that he spent so much time with me. Fast forward to the fall and I was ready to seriously talk with contractors and start getting bids. I called two other companies along with Tier 1. I met with the other companies first and they acted so uninterested and bothered by the fact that I was asking for a bid. I feel like they just went through the motions of giving a bid instead of actually being interested in my project. When Bill came out, he again, spent a lot of time going through the project, asking what my goals were and he also shared ideas of what he thought might work. The bid came in in a reasonable amount of time and I was asked to go through it and if anything needed to be added, I should let him know. I was sold with the professionalism of this company right from the beginning. We started the project after the holidays and it went so smooth, I was amazed! I’ve heard horror stories of renovation projects especially on older homes but mine was seamless. Yes there were little things that came up but nothing that couldn’t be handled. Bill and Daniel were always reachable and ready to answer my questions through the whole process. Crews always kept the space clean and they were very respectful of my home. Billing was very organized and Kelsey did a great job keeping everything on track. I would highly recommend Tier 1 Group for any type of renovation! They will be my first call when I’m ready to renovate the second floor! Thank you Tier 1!

We highly recommend Bill and the Tier1 Group team. We did an extensive remodel on our first floor this year (including kitchen, powder room, tearing down walls) . The Tier1 Group team was extremely professional, knowledgeable and responsive throughout the process, explaining in detail what to expect. All of Tier1's subs and project manager kept the work area clean and organized. They communicated with us every step of the way and were true collaborative partners throughout the remodel. Their honesty and professionalism were outstanding. We are thoroughly pleased at how beautiful the renovation is every time we step onto the first floor.

Tier1 Group worked with us to remodel our home last year. The scope of the remodel was extensive. They were fantastic throughout the entire remodel process, especially the planning phase. As I am an engineer, I was very impressed with how Tier1 walked us through the planning phase and, documented each detail in a statement of work. Doing so minimized miscommunication and mistakes. Bill McHugh is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable builders I have ever met, which is important in this business because in a remodel your going to be seeing your builder and his team a lot. Tier1 Group takes the time to listen to the needs of their clients. As a designer, I am very selective with who I work with because my reputation is on the line. I have worked with Tier1 on several projects and will continue to work with them in the future. Their professionalism and communication has always been spot on. An added bonus is that Bill has a great sense of humor and makes the process fun!

Tier 1 Group recently completed an extensive remodel of our kitchen, master bathroom and powder bathroom. We are extremely happy! Our house was originally built in 1947, and we knew there would be many unknowns throughout the project. Working with Bill McHugh and his Tier 1 team gave us peace of mind. Their expertise and their quality trades redesigned our kitchen and master bathroom - creating the functionality and style we wanted. They also assisted us with lighting, plumbing, cabinets, tile and paint choices. Everything is absolutely beautiful! Tier One was hired by us to remove one of the 4 bedrooms from our home and turn it into a dining area. They, along with contractor’s that they sent to our home, were professional, timely, and clean. The project was completed quickly and it looks great. We would definitely recommend them for any future remodeling projects, or to build from the ground up.

Bill and his team saved my project. After being the victim of a predatory contractor who performed extremely sub par work, Bill's team came in, assessed the situation, and completed the work beyond my expectations. When it comes to quality of work and commitment to customer satisfaction, I highly recommend Tier 1. Our Master bath project involved relocation of plumbing and electrical/as well as replacement of tile fixtures, and cabinets. The job took longer than we expected but we are highly satisfied with the outcome. Everyone at Tier1 and all their subs are nice people!

our 12 year old house needed not only structural repairs, it needed a face lift. Tier 1 with their engineering background as well as their ability to see beyond the ordinary, created an extraordinary new look for our home.

Three projects have been completed by Tier 1. 1) Conversion of an open utility room adding cabinets with under-counter lighting, a sink with related plumbing, a quartz counter top, and a large tiled handicap accessible shower area. A special aspect of this project was locating existing in-slab post-tension cables and water and sewer lines using state of the art surface penetrating radar. This was followed by cutting through the slab in order to install drain lines for the new shower and sink, termite treatment of the newly opened slab, filling the opening with new concrete and finally installing a new tile floor. Also the insulation of this walls and ceiling was significantly improved. 2) A kitchen renovation, replacing the formica counter tops with quartz, replacing the back splashes with subway tile, adding new under-counter lighting, installation of a new sink and related plumbing, a new stove top, and new microwave. 3) Conversion of an open dining room into an enclosed multi-purpose spare room. This consisted of adding one full sound proofed insulated wall and one wall with French doors. Some electrical work was also done. We received excellent advice in planning of these three projects. The work orders were thorough and easy to understand. The projects were done professionally and on time. Also, the overall project management was exceptional. Based on three projects they have now completed for us with outstanding results we highly recommend Tier 1.

Starting with a thorough inspection asking targeted questions, they were able to discern the underlying reasons for the issues and overall health of our home. Articulating the situation in a clear, calm and authoritative manner; they were able to present a solid and believable perspective of our home. Once we engaged their services, the work was completed in a thorough and professional manner with high attention to detail. Under a tight timeline, they were able to coordinate the necessary service providers in an integrated manner minimizing the impact to our home and yard. Tier1 Group was a lifesaver due to the time restrictions we faced in getting repairs done in time for a loan approval

In 2009 a torrential rain caused the carpet in one room of our house in Lakeway to be soaked for up to eight feet from the outer wall. We tried to correct the problem with downspout extensions, but the problem recurred when hurricane Hermine swept through in 2010. Meanwhile, the trim of the house needed repainting, and the gutters and downspouts seemed inadequate. Thus we looked for a general contractor that could attend to all these problems, and our search led us to Tier 1 Group. Their personnel listened to our problems and discussed the pros and cons of several solutions with us. A plan was proposed, revised, and approved. Once work was begun, it proceeded quickly with the installation of a French drain, the painting, enlarged gutters with leaf protection, and relocated and additional downspouts. The work was professional and efficient. The price charged was in line with the estimate. We are satisfied customers of Tier 1 Group.

I would highly recommend Tier 1 to anyone needing high quality service and value. Bill was a pleasure to work with. He came to our home, did an inspection, made recommendations and provided a very fair bid.
