After reviewing and discussing our wish list of desired features and our lifestyle, Tom came up with a design that we reviewed and modified based on collaborative input. He then created a 3-D computer model that brought the design to life enabling additional tweaks before locking down the final design. A thorough and comprehensive set of detailed plans for the construction was completed on time. Tom Kirschner is the consummate professional. He assisted with the design of our custom home and completed the building plans. We have worked with Tom for many years. Be it our personal homes or rental homes, Tom worked with us on our wants of design. My husband changes his mind frequently and Tom calmly guided him thru it. I have worked with architects and always seem to run into conflicts of is this my house or your house! That has never been the problem with Tom. I highly recommend him.

We have had two major projects for which Envision was our designer. These were the conversion of an adobe stable to a guesthouse in 2011 and a major extension to our main house in 2013/14. The approach to both of our projects was meticulous and started with a discussion of our aims. In both cases Tom Kirschner, the owner, gave us his personal attention and took photographs and dimensions with him from the first meeting to draft out a design for discussion. We were able at all stages to consider the designs and shape them to our wishes. Envision kept a watching brief over the practicality of our thoughts and the requirements of building codes. Many of our developing design ideas were quickly dealt with as we were able to exchange images and thoughts by e-mail. This meant that we were able to get to a finished design quickly and efficiently. Envision walked us through complex engineering considerations as our buildings which we were remodeling and repurposing were built in adobe they then submitted our designs for planning consent and got them passed. The plans we received were detailed and easily interpreted by our contractors and the building inspector so that our projects were completed without design glitches. If you want a designer sympathetic to local aesthetics and capable of generating economic, practical and sound engineering plans, Envision should be your choice.
