Beachside Building Company

Beachside did a major addition to our house and garage. They were slow, and had financial difficulties that has left them owing us $50,000. This debt was incurred in 2017 and to date one payment of less than $800 has been made. We never did get all of the trim finished. I do not advise anyone hire Mr. Clark.

We hired Tony Clark rebuild our house after a devastating fire on day before Thanksgiving. We paid him a huge down payment all we had then insurance and bank would only pay him directly. We had no control of the money after that. Then our house sat idle for sometime? Tony said he needed more money but was not at level that the Bank approved of cut a check. So we got a loan of half his request to continue til the bank would approve the percent of completion. In March we gave him a check for $26,000. That should get the roof at least done and some other phase. After a month of no work. We started asking what's going on. My Wife gets a text from his office manager saying" another employee has stolen all your house money and you have no Money to continue"........disaster struck again. Now Attorney Time and filed coMplaint with FL Contractor board. Only Thing from Board is "Under Investigation" On Oct 27 2019. Nothing else. Filed Case in Court only to find out we had to retract it. Baby Steps Ms.Bombard entered into a Project Agreement with Beachside Building Company (“Beachside”) on July 24, 2018 for improvements, labor and material at a total contract price of $248,000.00. Per the terms of the Project Agreement, you and Ms. Bombard agreed to a Draw Schedule and Progress Payments (“Progress Payments”) based upon Beachside’s progress and completion of specified tasks related to the project. It has come to our attention that despite your receipt of Progress Payments from Ms. Bombard in excess of the amounts required per the Draw Schedule, Beachside has failed to perform in accordance with the Project Agreement. To date, Ms. Bombard has paid a total amount of $163,674.39 directly to Beachside. Additionally, she has incurred out of pocket costs related to the project including permits ($2,378.00) and windows and doors ($7,000.00) for a total sum paid to date of $173,052.39. Per the terms of your project schedule. Beachside should nearing completion of milestone 24. However, it is our understanding that the roof work is not yet completed, which means to date Beachside has completed approximately $117,000.00 worth of work on the project.

TONY CLARK STOLE MY $5,000. DO NOT HIRE HIM OR HIS COMPANY OR HE WILL ROB YOU TOO. He took my 50% deposit for a bathroom addition and never did the job. 6 weeks later, no progress has been made and he won't return my phone calls or messages and told me to stop bothering him. I am having to file a civil suit and am lodging a complaint against his contractor license to try and get my money back.
