Not the nicest crew I’ve been around. Not sure about their work but doesn’t sound good. I suggest you shop around

This company has changed owners, sold when Carol Wildman retired. We had work done both by Carol and by the new owner. Unfortunately, the foreman decided to leave after a year. I had reviewed a project with the owner, and there were several items that the new owner would not do (anything involving ladders, for example.) I hired the former foreman as a handyman to do the items not covered by Taos Landscaping. I also hired his sister to do some mowing and weeding - my husband had major surgery and our riding mower died and the grass was well over a foot high. Taos Landscaping does not do mowing or weeding, and it was an urgent problem. It took a few weeks to locate and replace the old mower, and we needed the help. The sister was willing to do the work, so we went with her. The new owner and the crew boss who quit ended up in court, in a dispute over a workman's comp claim. The crew boss won the worker's comp, but the new owner countersued to block him from working for us. His lawyer told him he couldn't tell us about this, and he left scaffolding at our property for months until we finally asked him to remove it. The owner assumed he had undercut her, and I was on the receiving end of an unfriendly interrogation from her. I don't quite understand why it was wrong to hire him since it was only for work she would not do, and so not competing. We had some work one year from the old owner, and then more the first year with the new owner. I wanted to hire her for a third year for some additional patio, stone path and a new flower bed. But instead it was like getting caught in the middle of a bitter divorce. Maybe that new owner does better now, but she burnt the bridge of my family as a customer. That put an end to it for that season, and then the pandemic hit the following season. I don't know where to turn this year, because I can't hire either of them going forward. Very unprofessional and unpleasant.

We recently had extensive rock work and landscaping done by Carol and her team at Taos Landscaping. We could not be more delighted. Her crew showed up in a timely manner every day, they were friendly and helpful and communicated with us regarding any issues or questions very well. They were neat, organized and considerate. The project was completed on time and came in slightly under budget/bid. We recommend Carol very highly.

Carol and the crew at Taos Landscaping are just the best! For our newly-constructed home on a tricky lot with lots of grade changes and drainage issues, Carol prepared a beautiful plan to take advantage of the views and the natural environment. The crew were diligent, courteous, and timely in implementing the plan - no more drainage problems, and a gorgeous natural landscape to boot! The added plants and hardscape look like they always belonged there. On budget! Highly recommended.

We highly recommend Carol and Taos Landscaping. From ten years ago to the present, from the initial layout to the subsequent additions, we've been nothing but pleased. Carol's knowledge of what works in our high desert climate put us on the right track when we first moved here. Her workers are a pleasure to have around, and the work has been consistently completed on time and within budget. Highly recommend!

Our second project of the spring and summer was just completed. We could not be happier with the the outcomes! Carol and her crew are both professional and friendly. From the beginning design phase to the final flagstone being set, all went well, and under budget I might add!

You can't do better than Carol Wildman and her crew at Taos Landscaping. Carol designed my back garden which included stone and rock work, a fountain and drip irrigation for a xeriscape garden. The view from my deck at the other side of the house has magnificent views that stretch forever, but I spend most of my time under the portal in the back looking at Carol's beautiful, peaceful garden. She designed two sets of steps, one of rocks and stone that twist artfully to a gazebo and a wider second set, made of railroad ties and stone, that mark, along with her garden, the entrance to my home. It was a definite design challenge to focus guests to the door on the other side of the house from the deck with the closer and snazzier view. She worked with me to find solid design solutions to my undeveloped notions of what I wanted. She worked within my budget and time frame. She is honorable, talented and works to make her customers happy, Her crews do as well. They were a pleasure to have at my house while they made the garden. Jake and Jesus were respectful of our living at their work site and took pride in their fine work. Jake is a master of stone. I highly recommend Taos Landscaping. I can’t tell you how many compliments I get on the garden Carol Wildman designed.

Carol and her staff were professional and responsive right from the very start! She listened carefully and created exactly what we wanted including all the features we requested - including a rose garden, orchard, fire pit, waterfall, bocce court, veggie garden, walkways, fence at the exact height to allow sunset viewing while seated... so much attention to every little detail.

Taos Landscaping handled all aspects of landscaping my new home in the foothills including design, construction, irrigation, lighting, hardscape, and water management. Super easy to work with and very trustworthy. I highly recommend them.

We keep going back to this outstanding company for each phase of our landscape design due to the professionalism and good communication Carol and her staff employ. We have been thrilled with the outcome of their installations and were pleased each phase of the projects we have worked with them on have been right on budget. Carol knows what plant material thrives in this difficult climate and installs hardscaping to support both good design and thriving microclimates for the plants. Good communication, on time, on budget, good design, and hard workers. We will always choose to work with this company.

One of the first investments my wife and I made after purchasing our Taos home was landscaping. We researched various local contractors and Taos Landscaping Co came highly recommended.
