Her taste is impeccable and I can always count on her for great advice - whether it’s ordering furniture, choosing paint color, arranging a room, or drawing up plans for a remodel. We have worked with her on all that and more for the four different houses we have lived in. She also has great contacts for every kind of subcontractor you’d need. Her design fees are very reasonable too. I cannot say enough good things about Tammara!

Tammara and her team have completed two projects for me. They listened to what we wanted and then came back with a plan that was perfect on both jobs. I couldn't be happier. One is in the Parkpoint condominums in Seattle and is truly spectacular. The other is our primary residence and really came out as comfortable family home, not a staged design.

I’m so glad we found Tammara to help us with the finishes and furnishings for our basement remodel. We live in a 1928 Tudor home and were wanting a fresh updated look while remaining true to the architecture of the home. The project involved adding a bar, wine cellar, seating area, fireplace redesign and home gym. Tammara really understood our design aesthetic and has created a space that feels completely “us” yet one we never would have achieved alone. I have worked with a number of designers over the years, and Tammara is by far the most calm, organized, practical and user-friendly. Her team provides regular updates with spreadsheets showing the status of items/projects, which was key during lengthy Covid-related delays. She has a network of terrific vendors who, like her, did great work on our project. Most importantly, she's incredibly responsive. She or a member of her team always responded promptly to questions and concerns. Tammara has a great eye and plenty of creative ideas but she listens carefully to understand how the space will be used. While we wanted a beautiful cottage, we also needed a place that could withstand muddy dogs and lots of grandkids. We are just thrilled with our home.

Tammara helped us transform our 1970s house into our modern dream home and we couldn’t be happier. Tammara is an excellent designer and collaborator. I absolutely love Tammara! She has such a creative eye and her attention to the details of the design is amazing. I can be a hard client, as my initial reaction to change is often skepticism. But room after room, Tammara has delivered exactly my style - actually she’s delivered an elevated version of my style. My whole home is now cohesive and has a style all its own. Time after time I have had vendors tell me that Tammara is their favorite designer to work with. I am not surprised as she is not only a great designer but a good person. Tammara Stroud Design designed the decor of our new townhome, incorporating the finishes that were already installed by the builder into a cohesive, modern design plan. My experience with Tammara and her team has exceeded all expectations - they provided impeccable customer service, high quality products, and beautiful, functional designs that match my family's lifestyle (including a teenager and a dog). Tammara's team was very patient with and receptive to our preferences, budget, and timeline. For example, they willingly and beautifully integrated a dining room table and chairs into our plan, suggesting new upholstery that gave the chairs a more modern look that fit with the rest of the home. Our project was completed in the midst of the 2020 pandemic when product and shipping delays were the norm; however, Tammara's team obtained and installed our furniture and decor at move-in, allowing us to immediately feel at home (during a year of spending most of our time at home). I have also appreciated having them consult with us on several finishing touches as we have settled in to the home, such as styling the shelves next to our fireplace and incorporating more houseplants into the decor. I would recommend TSD to those looking to build or remodel an entire home as well as those looking to update a room; they are professional, attentive, and timely, regardless of the size of your project or budget. Wonderful experience with Tammara and her team. Super detail oriented and thoughtful. Tammara always provide high quality recommendations but still gives enough room for me and my wife to weigh in and build our dream home. Besides the top notch design expertise, the execution part is second to none as well. All the teams introduced by Tammara are way better than we expected, from furniture installation, window treatment, customized closet installation, lighting fixture installation, art hanging, wall paper, to exterior remodeling contractor, all the technicians are super friendly and clean, like friends you want to invite to your house for dinner. Tammara helped me love my house. We bought a modern house with a great layout, but I wasn't in love with it. The finishes just weren't as sweet and cozy as my old craftsman. Tammara helped us fine a contemporary design that feels light and pretty and livable and that far surpassed my expectations. Having never worked with a designer before, I had trouble relinquishing control at first. She'd send over designs and we would push back. But in the end we went with nearly her original design as is, and I LOVE IT. Oh, and she picked out the best tiles and grout. We tell everyone about Tammara. It was my most successful renovation and we now own furniture that is more beautiful than anything I could have imagined. All during COVID! (she was very careful, met us over zoom, and wore a mask when she had to be here in person).

I had the great fortune to work with Tammara on a home remodel and design project for the last year. She is an amazingly talented designer. Last year, we got a house in Bellevue and the interior of the house was a disaster (yeah... try imagine having 14 different paint colors in the house), so we know we needed help! We came across Tammara’s work through Houzz and immediately fell in love with her work. Tammara and Carolyn helped me every step of the way with a custom home--- and they were AMAZING. I have the most beautiful house I have ever seen. Every finish, color, choice was perfect. We hired Tammara to help with the design for a kitchen, living room and two bathroom remodel. She did the design and layout of the kitchen, helped pick out finishes for all the rooms and then finally helped decorate once the remodel was complete. Our project lasted 6 months and Tammara and her associates helped the entire way through the project. We couldn't be happier with how our house looks now, it is everything we hoped it would be. My husband and I have very different tastes and Tammara was able to find a middle ground that satisfied both of our requests simultaneously. I worked with Tammara for a living room/dining room "refresh" at my Ballard townhouse. The only thing I am disappointed in is how long it has taken me to write this review. I remember her comment of "your house is on fire" based on the bright red, yellow and green colors painted on my walls, prior to her magical transformation. I've hosted several parties since the refresh and was even asked by a friend whether I moved a wall (which I didn't), because the space now looks so open and tranquil. We worked with Tammara after purchasing a new home. We moved from a 1,200 square foot modern townhouse to a 3,500 square foot craftsman bungalow, early 1900s. Tammara helped us make our home feel updated and stylish while respecting the historic character and details of the original home. I hired Tammara to do all of the design work for a three-phase remodel of our 1940s cottage. She started in the basement and will move to the master bedroom, bathroom, and finally to the kitchen, dining, and family rooms. I contacted Tammara based on a strong recommendation, though I was initially hesitant because it would be a long distance project. My husband and I purchased a very dated home built in the 1970’s knowing we would need to remodel. They listened to us and then elevated our preferences into a final look we could not have achieved ourselves. Plus, they are wonderful women who we personally really like. I wish there were six stars so I could rate them higher.

Tammara is an amazing resource as a designer. She has a keen eye to be able to pull together rooms and ideas into one cohesive home. She helped us design our home starting with renovation tips and architectural ideas and moving all the way to minor and major interior elements of each room. She's easy to work with and always responsive in a timely manner, works with many different types of suppliers and contractors and has a great attitude. I recommend Tammara to anyone looking for design assistance in the Seattle area.

I contacted Tammara for assistance selecting colors for my kitchen remodel after the project was well underway. Initially, I was simply seeking advice on paint colors and cabinet pulls; I had already selected cabinets, countertops and appliances. Tammara recommended a countertop I never would have considered and it absolutely makes my kitchen. The colors, countertop and tile she chose pull the kitchen together. I highly recommend Tammara because of her amazing eye for color and texture; her professionalism; and her ability to listen and understand my goals/style. My only regret is not working with Tammara from the beginning of my project.

Tammara is a delight to work with. She has excellent ideas and yet incorporates the views and style of her clients. Her ability to pick colors that tie everything together is amazing. We have used her services on two separate remodel projects (kitchen & family room, then two bathrooms) and on both projects she saved us from making terrible choices. When each project was completed, we laughed about how disappointed we would have been if we had gone with our own instincts. For any decorating needs in the future, we will definitely call Tammara. We hired Tammara to help us refresh the main floor of our Madison Park craftsman home. She was incredibly helpful with paint color, wood floor refinish color, countertop selection & new backsplash in our kitchen. She also selected some amazing chrome pendant lighting for above our island. She also completely re-did our living room furnishings & new tile around our fireplace, both of which are very unique. Everything is especially livable for our family and our dog (i.e. We don't feel like we have to treat them with kid gloves). She is now working on our dining room and entry way. We get nothing but compliments on our refresh and would use Tammara again. I should also mention she selected a good combination of custom and Restoration HW items which kept the overall costs reasonable while not looking like a page out of a catalog.

I hired Tammara to help me remodel my kitchen, fireplaces, and overall first floor color scheme, textiles, and lighting. I have been so impressed with Tammara and her partner, Carolyn, in every way. Lovely people to work with, very responsive 7 days/week, and I love all of the finishes they chose. They are selecting and managing all of the contractors as well, and everything is going well.

When my boyfriend and I moved into our oddly-shaped house last year, none of our old furniture would fit and we knew we had to ditch everything and start from scratch. She really got to know us - so the ideas she presented were spot-on in terms of our personalities and lifestyle. She followed through and she always (and I mean always) had ideas for us and suggestions when we weren't sure what direction to take. Overall, Tammara did an excellent job and she was a delight to work with. Her chosen contractors are extremely professional and were a joy to work with as well. We are still getting compliments not only from people who visit our house for the first time, but from folks who have visited us before and fall in love with the ambience and artistic detail all over again.

Completely chose every detail in remodeling a gutted home. I cannot say enough about Tammara in terms of beautiful design choices, absolutely stellar attention to detail, timely responses and professional in every way. I think there may have been two selections out of about 100 that we opted to go a slightly different way, but overall her selections were better than I could have hoped for and save me weeks of time. At first I thought her prices were high (not that I really have a clue what designer's charge) but I can tell you she is worth every penny. She did such a great job, we will be asking her to look at our home and a friend of mine will be asking her for assistance as well. I wouldn't want to attack any design project without her assistance. You will be very happy if you are lucky enough to work with her.

I hired Tammara after checking in with friends and really searching the web to see designs that appealed to me. I needed help in color choice and then design ideas in a few rooms in my home. She is marvelous in ideas that appeal to me, very prompt with communication, and saves you a lot of money in discounts she receives. She sticks to our budget and is very professional. We moved into a brand new house with a six week old baby and a two year old. There was no paint, no window coverings, and no charm. Tammara turned an empty cold house into a warm and welcoming home. From selecting paint and developing useful room layouts, to picking out furniture and designing built ins, Tammara did it all. Although we can take no credit for it, we are incredibly proud to show off the spaces Tammara designed.

Tammara provided complete service including color consultation for the whole house, window treatments and furniture layout and selection for 5 rooms. We were thrilled with the final product. The furnishing are stylish and comfortable, well coordinated and she selected materials and styles that fit our lifestyle and can stand up to 2 young children. She took the time to listen to us and understand our preferences, then worked those into her suggestions. If something was not quite what we wanted she worked immediately to fix it or provide an excellent alternative. She is efficient and professional. She's also fun to work with. Tammara and her team were thoughtful and did an excellent job in designing the interior, room by room, of my newly purchased 1908 home. It was a big job, because the house itself is 5,800 SF. We opened the door to "magic" … Tammara Stroud Magic! Without having to ask, lining bathroom and bedroom dresser drawers were anticipated and provided with laminated paper … the extra paper used on those walls. How personal does that get? After designing built ins to match the existing kitchen units, Tammara found matching hardware in the US versus Italy. This was done without my asking BUT CERTAINLY to my financial benefit and savings. In conclusion, Tammara Stroud Design is the most respectful, resourceful, talented service I've ever experienced. RESPECTFUL of me (the client), time/wishes/budget/deadlines AND to my "soon to be new neighbors"/condo Board/concierge. TALENTED: She designed chairs to accommodate my long body … a dining table I described from "happier days" … made a home welcoming gift/painting including all my favorite colors, setting the tone the moment one steps into my home. Tammara assisted me with a total condo refurbishment. I found her to be invaluable throughout the life of the project. I am wholeheartedly thrilled to recommend Tammara Stroud. I have worked with other designers in the past and ended up in both cases getting a few things, but not seeing the project through and being pretty disappointed w/the results. Tammara is a whole different story. I’m a bit obsessed w/design myself and study the trends, merchants and such a lot. For starters, Tammara is an excellent value- she provides very top-end knowledge and style for an excellent value. What I think I enjoy the most though is that she is very down-to-earth and will never make you feel like your budget is too small. She just works with it and is excellent about letting you know where to invest and where to save. You will not end up w/something that looks like every magazine cover or showroom in town. Her art background has been an excellent bonus for me as she has a terrific eye for color – and art. She is honest, responsible and very results-oriented – she’ll get the project done.
