Founded in 2006, Sweetpea & Willow is the premier destination for high-end interiors that help make your house a home. We tirelessly source and hand-pick the best quality furniture to bring our customers a unique collection of home furnishings at affordable prices. Our range includes over 2500 items from luxury sofas and chairs, to beautiful bespoke beds, to stunning mirrors and light fittings, all the way through to elegant dining furniture. In recent years we have developed our very own Handmade in London range which has bought affordable, luxury bespoke beds and sofa's to the global market. All designed in-house, and produced to the highest standard right here in the capital, we can manufacture to any size, any size and any fabric. Since our launch in 2006, our company has achieve exponential growth and we now employ over 10 office staff, with many more out on the road in our branded fleet of delivery vans. This growth has also seen us move offices several times, with our offices and 8000 sq. ft showroom based in Isleworth, West London. Our philosophy is simple: to provide the ultimate shopping experience whether online or in our showroom, offering our customers unrivaled customer service, selection, quality and value. This philosophy has seen us pick up several awards, including Best Organisation Blog at the Amara Interior Blog Awards 2016, The Best Small Online Retailer of the Year at the Online Retail Awards 2015, plus a commendation in the Home & Gardens Category and a commendation for excellence in the Red Ribbon Family Business Awards.

I ordered two lamps from this company, who had them shown as available on their website and who checked the availability during a telephone conversation - after which I paid by debit card. The following day I received an e-mail to advise me that 'unfortunately the lamps were discontinued' and offered me to choose alternatives ! When I asked for a refund (speaking with Aga Fifiel) and expressed by disappointment about their inaccurate website information and their having taken full payment, she stated that she would 'try' to contact their accountants and arrange for the refund. I had to ask several times for this to be actioned and even more times for her to agree to call me back to advise me on a timescale for the refund. I would NOT use this company again - unprofessional business practice and a complete lack of customer-focus by Aga Figiel (possibly attributable in part, to a language/communication issue).

Thank you for leaving a review on Houzz.

In regards to your feedback, we would just like to clarify a couple of points:

Your order was placed with us on the 13th February and was followed up by my colleague, Aga, that afternoon. Our supplier confirmed that the lamps were in stock, however, they then came back to us shortly after to advise that this was an error and that the item had been discontinued.

Wishing to let you know as soon as possible, my colleague emailed you that same day with the following message:

"Dear Gary, I hope you are well. I am writing to update you regarding your lamps. We just received a phone call from the manufacturer and I’m sorry to say that we have just been hit with some bad news. Unfortunately, this lamps have been discontinued and we are completely at the mercy of our manufacturer on this occasion. I would like to apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused and I will do my very best to meet your further requirements. Please let me know if you like any other lamps and I will check the stock. Alternatively, if there is nothing of interest, please let me know and we will give you a full refund."

A refund was requested and processed the following day, Wednesday 14th February. We are unsure what more we could have done to help with this situation, and are very sorry that you feel so disappointed with our service. We understand that it can be frustrating to order an item only to find that it is no longer available; however, sometimes there are situations, such as this, which are out of our control.

We strive to keep our customers updated and informed throughout every stage of their purchase, and we feel that we did exactly that on this occasion.

As for your comments regarding a language barrier, Aga is from Poland and speaks fluent English. During her time with us, we have never had a single complaint in relation to her communication skills, and we feel that she is very clear, speaks beautiful English, and is an asset to our team.

We hope you can confidently shop with us again in the future and experience how efficient our service can be. Otherwise, we wish you well.

As an Interior Design Company it is important that our supplier can provide a great product whilst delivering on time. We have worked with Sweetpea & Willow on several occasions and the service has always been great! They are always willing to help, very efficient and can work to tight deadlines. They also offer bespoke upholstery which we have used before for the seating in a home cinema room. The quality was outstanding and delivered on time.
