Swan and Sons Homes

I enlisted David from Swan & Sons Homes, to renovate my unit in Fortitude Valley. I found David to be friendly, and very easy to work with. He also provided some great advice. I think David's greatest attribute is that he just gets the job done quickly with minimum fuss. Thanks again David.

We engaged Swan and Sons for the construction of our home in Palm Cove FNQ . We chose them as they are a boutique builder and not a mainstream one . We felt using a building company where the owner was a hands on builder would bring us the right results. Our build commenced 22/8/16 and we moved in 27/1/17 . David was involved in and included us in every aspect from site meetings to sourcing a local architect to draw our plans and help us achieve our vision. He was always available to take our calls and address any questions or concerns we may have had . David also attended our meetings with Pacific kitchens and Beaumont tiles to make sure everything would work seamlessly and match . He also found an interior designer to help with our colour palette selection and also a landscape gardener as that allowed us to plant the garden ourselves based on the suggested planting guide . The quality and standard of the work and finish were outstanding. All the trades Swan ad Sons used were of an exceptionally high standard. David went through with us and did a thorough handover and attended to any concerns. We had previously built a home in Melbourne (2001) with a boutique builder too who was good but Swan and Sons was quite exceptional the standard surpassed our expectations. Dave and his team did an excellent job on our century old Queenslander Home. He faced some challenges as would be expected and talked them through offering sensible and economic solutions. He was always on time, communicative and approachable throughout the project. His team were well-mannered and considerate. This was particularly evident as I was on site most days and we continued to live in the house whilst the reno was undertaken. Dave consulted with us on every aspect of the job and worked quickly to stick to the deadline. He kept to the budget and allowed us to re-use windows, doors etc where possible. He also regularly checked on top of the other trades as they completed the project after his work was done. We were very happy with the final outcome and would happily recommend Swan and Sons Homes.

We had a great experience renovating our home with Dave from Swan & Sons. We where keen to remain in the area so we decided to undertake a significant renovation to our post war home. Engaging Dave early in our planning to gain construction advise and call on his knowledge of how best to use the space was critical to our planning and budgeting. Dave’s input was invaluable as it allowed us to value manage the design to ensure we stayed under our budget. Throughout the build Dave and his team were great to deal with. He really delivers on what a renovation/build should be for clients – a rewarding and enjoyable process! Dave helped advise us through many changes during the build to save us money and make sure our new space was functional.
