We engaged DesRes to partially style our newly acquired (sight unseen) London apartment as we are based overseas. We purchased the property in Westminster partially furnished so Suzanne assisted us to purchase some new furniture, remove items not required and decorate the apartment to ensure it felt updated and homely. Suzanne worked diligently and in a timely manner to ensure the apartment was ready for our arrival. Suzanne tracked and itemised all the expenses, so we were fully informed, over the 2 month project timeframe. Suzanne went above and beyond our expectations. We came across Suzanne via Google search and we arranged to meet with both with her, as well as one other home staging company. It was clear from early on that Suzanne had a great eye for design and was gifted to know how to make our home best saleable. Although we were initially resistant to one or two of her design ideas, I am pleased that we listened to her guidance and we ended up implementing the vast majority of her suggestions. We opted to sell/dispose of larger furniture items and replace them with newly bought, more minimal items to generally help unclutter our apartment. This was a challenge since we have a toddler, with all the toys and bits of pieces that clutter up a typical flat. Suzanne helped us to prepare the flat for estate agent photos and showed us how to prepare the flat in advance of each showing. It felt like a lot of work at the time but we were meticulous about how we presented the property for viewing each time. We ended up selling above asking price, a great result in a falling market. DesRes as a company was, without doubt, very reliable and professional. Suzanne, as an individual, was rather exceptional, insightful and charming. Here’s why… I live outside the UK and required someone to manage the entire project of redecorating and staging my small UK flat in St Albans in order to secure a quick sale before Easter. Within a few weeks of the listing, the flat was viewed by several prospective buyers; all of whom commented on how beautiful the flat looked. The flat was sold, subject to contract, just over the Easter weekend. Suzanne was always there for me throughout the process, with incredible transparency of what was happening at each stage. Apart from her obvious talents in design and home staging, she showed a side that made me feel as though I have known her for many years; somehow knowning what I needed and what I did not. Suzanne is truly one talented stager. And an angel to boot. Why do I say that? Well I live between the USA and the UK and was trapped by COVID-19 in USA without paperwork enabling me to be in the UK to help in the preparation for the sale of my house: Suzanne managed everything for me with me from a distance. She went totally above and beyond and having struggled to sell my property for 5 months - it sold no less than 48 hours after she had staged it!!!!! If you are struggling to sell - call her now - she is in the magic wand! I cannot thank you enough Suzanne. You took a very stressful and complicated situation for me personally and turned the whole thing around.

Suzanne came to our rescue when we were trying to put our flat on the market but couldn't figure out the missing ingredients needed to get it to look less like a conference centre and more like a home! As it was last minute we worked remotely, using videos and photos to share problems and solutions. She was an absolute godsend, giving me hours and hours of her time over the fortnight we were working togther, way more than she allowed me to pay for. She was a delight to work with - generous, funny, intelligent, endlessly patient, friendly, gentle and encouraging. Suzanne organised the staging of our one-bed flat to the perfection. She was reactive from the very first phone call to the end of the project. Not only has she made the process completely seamless (organising the painting, the furniture, etc...) but also extremely fast. Very importantly, she communicates with absolute clarity on the costs, advancements etc. We felt reassured and in really good hands throughout the project. The result was stunning, our flat is looking fantastic. I can't recommend her enough and would hire her again anytime for any future project.

I had always been sceptical about the whole concept of ‘home staging’ – but faced with the logistical challenges of having to sell a small London flat from a distance in the middle of a pandemic, I put scepticism aside and contacted Suzanne for help. Best decision ever! After five years of occupation by tenants, the flat was looking distinctly tired and down at heel, but within a month Suzanne had completely transformed it - arranging for it to be redecorated throughout, recarpeted and displayed to its very best advantage. She took care of every last detail, and our estate agent was bowled over by the change. It went on the market looking like an Ideal Home for a first-time buyer, and within a few days we had received not only a flurry of interest but two offers above the asking price. In addition to her professional flair and her efficiency in getting things done fast, Suzanne took a warm personal interest in the project and was a delight to deal with. Cinderella’s fairy godmother couldn’t have done a better job for us!

After returning from working abroad for four years I was planning to retire and move from London. As soon as I walked in to my house which had been rented out for four years I knew I had to have some help to prepare it for sale. I spoke to a few ‘house stagers’ but Des Res were the only ones that could arrange the building and decorating works that needed doing as well the staging. Suzanna is a marvellous organiser and managed all the very competitively price tradespeople doing everything from building cupboards, floor tiling, re-fitting a leaky toilet and redecorating through the entire house. In the meantime I was sorting, clearing, selling, giving away everything I no longer wanted and putting the rest into store. (One of the bonuses of doing this is the house is sparkling clean and just about all my possessions are boxed and ready to go, so moving will be a doddle.) I felt inordinately please when she used some of my furniture and paintings to stage the house. But many items were hired and some of the ornaments bought by Suzanne. The result was a stunning transformation of the house. My former lodger came round to see it and walked past the house as he did not recognise it due to the changes to the front of the house. Using Suzanne took the stress out of moving, Susanne was on top of every detail no matter how small and it was a comfort knowing someone was on top of everything. The house went on the market on a Thursday and was under offer by Saturday
