We did a gut renovation of a “standard” ranch house into a dazzling modern ranch that took approximately 18 months to complete, and Susan worked with us pretty much from day one. Hire her. Here are some reasons why: — Most importantly, Susan listened to what we like and don’t like, helping us to form a more conscious sense of our own style without imposing her own aesthetic. While doing that she also gave us the benefit of her education and experience in guiding us. We would have made a number of costly and/or frustrating mistakes if we hadn’t worked with her, — She works well with others. Not only did she communicate easily with us, she also developed a close working relationship with our architect and our contractor and even several of his staff and his subcontractors. Our contractor had never worked with her before and told us how great she was to work with. Susan went to the site many, many times to pay attention to work being done and “translate” what we wanted into practical plans for the people doing the work. — Even though she is an interior designer, I would also call her an “advocate.” When there were the inevitable glitches with vendors from time to time, Susan spoke up on our behalf to get issues resolved, or sometimes redirect a vendor back to what we said we wanted. — Her fees are very reasonable and transparent. She also has many trade discounts from which we benefitted. Our first meeting with her was a free on-site consultation. — Susan will do as little or as much as you want. You don’t need to do a huge project like our house has been ! She has mentioned to us that she has clients where they’ll call her after a few years just to go sofa shopping with them. While we’re not totally done with her yet (we still have art to hang and some furniture to buy) we totally will call her for smaller things as time goes on. I could go on and on. Susan is a true partner with us and with our team and we really enjoy spending time with her working out every thing from spatial relationships of furniture to the smallest vanity handle to statement chandeliers to the difference between two slightly different shades of paint. We are going to miss her terribly when the last detail of our house is done, but is it ever really “done?” (I sort of hope not.)

We hired Susan to help us design and furnish our newly purchased co-op apartment. The apartment required a total gut renovation and all new furnishings. We were overwhelmed with all we needed to do and Susan calmly guided us with amazing results. She drew up the plans for furnishing each room, took us shopping for the furniture, designed several custom units in the apartment, and helped us select window treatments, tile, paint colors and accessories. She was there to arrange for and accept furniture delivery because we spend the winter in Florida. The end result far exceeded our expectations and we love our new home. Through it all Susan was wonderful to work with and was always available to help us. We highly recommend Susan for any interior design project big or small-we could not have done it without her.

When we moved to NJ from LA we needed help settling into our new lake home. Susan helped us make design decisions for every room in the house. No detail was too small. She was terrific to work with, from the initial consultation to the final installation. Communication was clear, deadlines were met, and she was always available to answer questions or explore new ideas. Most important, she cared that the final design reflected our taste and met our needs. She helped us with room design, lighting, fabric selection, and reupholstery. We love our new home!

I highly recommend Susan's services. i hired Susan in the winter of 2018, as a result of an extensive house fire that destroyed the interior of our home.. There was not a room untouched. Susan helped us design and install window treatments for our home. She is a good listener and very perceptive and understanding, qualities that allowed her to get the perfect understanding of what we wanted even when we were unable to verbalize things ourselves. Her ideas were excellent and her feedback was very thoughtful and wholeheartedly sincere.
