We just finished a complete gut and remodel of our home using Stuart Jones as our contractor. We cannot recommend him highly enough! The entire process from initial meeting to beginning construction through completion could not have gone more smoothly. Stuart worked closely with us and an architect to help us determine exactly what best suited our family’s needs. Stuart’s focus on planning and scheduling was evident to us on a daily basis. Over the four months of construction there was always someone at our house working. Stuart was there every day insuring quality and schedule as well. (In addition to being on time and on budget)1!! We are thrilled with the results. The house looks spectacular and the quality of workmanship is evident throughout.

We hired Stuart to complete an ~1000 sqft addition to our home in 2021. Throughout the process he talked us through everything, answered all our questions, and gave us and our project his full attention. He worked with us through scheduling and supply chain challenges brought about by the pandemic. His scheduling and invoice payment software made everything easy to keep up with. He was careful with our home and was always professional. We were up against a deadline to complete the project as I was pregnant and we felt like he did everything he could to get things done with minimal stress for us. The project completed just about the same time we brought our newborn son home. We would exuberantly recommend using Stuart for your home project! We are so glad we went forward with him, we love the result!

Stuart did a great job on our home addition and remodel. He finished the project on time and on budget, despite having to work around the oddities of our 75 year old house and a very rainy fall. We are extremely pleased with the results. Stuart was straightforward and honest throughout our project and told us what to expect from the start. On top of that, he thought of a lot of small details that would not have occurred to us. To anyone considering a remodel or custom home, we cannot recommend Stuart more highly.

Stuart did such a fabulous job on our kitchen remodel. We were dreading it but he lived up to all his promises and the pain of no kitchen for 2 months was more than worth it. He has an APP for your project and it was so helpful to see what was happening each week, ability to pay through the App, see pictures when we were out of town, etc. He was on time and on budget. Highly recommended!

Over the past 25 years, Kath and I have taken on quite a number of home building/remodeling projects. We built a new 2-story custom home in 1995, gutted and remodeled a 1976 home in 2004, and have done additions and kitchen/bathroom remodels to our current 1960's home. Working with Stuart Jones in adding a second story to this home has by-far been the best experience we've had of all construction/contracting companies we've used. Stuart has clearly developed an outstanding process, backed by a very useful web-based product, for managing the schedules, costs, change-orders, selections, etc. Perhaps more importantly, this process was an outstanding tool for facilitating communication. It was very easy for us to know where were in the project timeframe, understand costs, and adapt for any changes as necessary. With all of that said, the most important element was Stuart himself. He is very knowledgable in his trade, extremely personable and professional, and hired outstanding crews who were all professional and outstanding craftsmen/women. We could not be happier with the work done and he will absolutely be our goto-guy for any future projects.

I have used many contractors for renovations and repairs for over 20 years, and the best I have seen in the Raliegh area is Stuart Construction. I've been using Stuart Construction over the past year on multiple projects and repairs. Stuart and his team are professional, on time, honest and gets the job done with quality workmanship. I will continually use Stuart, and highly recommend him for all construction needs.

Stuart served as our contractor when we remodeled our kitchen and opened it up to the living room and dining room. He coordinated tear-out (cabinets, countertops and flooring), removing a wall, enlarging doorways, hardwood floor installation, carpet installation, refinishing stairs, appliance installation, electrical work, painting, trim work, tile installation, and coordinating with the kitchen designer regarding layout and cabinet and countertop installation. Stuart is very attentive and was on top of every detail of the project. He worked with us to create a design that met our needs and fit our budget. He then made sure that the project was completed ahead of schedule and without unforeseen costs. We was always proactive in communicating with us and was very responsive when we had questions. We had previously hired him in 2014 to remodel two bathrooms. We like him so much and were so pleased with his work that he was the only contractor we considered for our kitchen remodel.

Stuart Jones Custom Homes added a 384 square foot screened porch to the end of my contemporary house which sits in a wooded area. The porch is open on three sides with a butterfly roof that rises from 8 to 14 feet and offers an unimpeded view of the surrounding woods. Stuart is a highly knowledgeable and experienced builder which is good, this being my first construction project. He was able to explain to me various options for materials and construction and helped me reach decisions on the details. I did have very specific aesthetic ideas for the porch, including a complicated pattern using three different wood stains, and I wanted the electrical network for the lights and fans to provide me maximum options for their use. Each of these added more complexity than some would think necessary, but Stuart cheerfully went with me on them. Stuart was very "present' on the site and graciously made changes to the original design even though once this meant having to redo some of the construction. He also graciously returned to the porch six months after the project was completed when some of the wood mellowed and contracted causing the doors not to fit properly. Stuart not only says he wants the client to be happy. He really means it. There are photos of my porch on Stuart's website.

After looking at many Parade of Home houses and floor plans last year, we did not find an exact match for our wants and needs, so we came up with a floor plan of our own. We considered several quality builders that we found during the Parade, but we chose Stuart because we felt he could provide the best quality home for the best price. Stuart listened to all of our ideas and requirements. He took a drawing on a piece of notebook paper and turned it into an engineered design and eventually our new home. Throughout the process, from design to closing, Stuart was great to work with. All of the consultants and subcontractors that we worked with provided valuable input and did excellent work. Stuart maintained his schedules and stayed within our budget and delivered the quality home that we hoped for. He was a pleasure to work with, and we were happy to let Stuart put our house on the Parade of Homes this year.

Stuart Jones' long time experience (30 years), knowledge and willingness to accommodate our ideas along with his creativity gave us the confidence to hire him for our remodel. Our desire for a more open floor plan and modern kitchen became a reality. And Stuart's idea of moving our kitchen door over about 3 feet allowed for valuable workspace by the stove. Stuart not only met deadlines, he did so despite structural problems he discovered and solved. For example, our fireplace hearth was not properly supported. This additional work was done with minimal additional cost. Despite a few months of living in our basement without our usual amenities and the noise of workmen performing their duties, Stuart made the whole process a pleasant one. His positive attitude and ability to manage his subcontractors are a credit to his profession.

I thoroughly enjoy working with Stuart. I provide cabinetry, countertops, and auxillary accessory products for his projects. He is very professional, thorough, and price competitive. If you want a good quality project with great value, this is the company for you to choose. Stuart and all his subcontractors are meticulous and trustworthy. I would trust them to do a project in my home anytime.
