Stony Lake Furniture's owner and lead designer, Lisa Besseling, designed our cottage kitchen. There were several challenges in the design process - an old building, three doorways, and a sloped ceiling to name but a few. Lisa provided a design that not only overcame all of these obstacles, but also addressed all of the kitchen and design features we were looking to include. Our cottage was built in 1901, therefore we were looking to design a kitchen that had an eclectic look, and fit with the vintage of the cottage. By using a mix of different textures, colours, finishes, and a combination of different lighting styles Lisa's design achieved the look we were aiming for. The kitchen is currently under construction and we are looking forward to seeing the end product in a few months!

Lisa came to our property and reviewed our space. She offered design and decorating ideas that were spot on. She helped us to select fabrics, tiles, stain colours and furnishings. She was thoughtful, responsive, creative and, thankfully, always right! She also took time in her store in Lakefiled to help with furnishing and fabric selections. She responded to our emails and phone calls quickly and effectively. She was professional and yet generous. We have a beautiful space in our new place thanks to Lisa's eye and guidance. We would work with Lisa again without hesitation.

I have worked with Lisa Besseling on a number of projects and have always been extremely pleased with the process and the outcome. She recently worked on a kitchen renovation for me and did an outstanding job. The existing kitchen was small and awkward with little cupboard space. Lisa designed a beautiful modern kitchen with tons of cupboards, pot drawers, open shelving and special features. She partners with other very professional people and has excellent working relations with trades and contractors. I could not have been happier. I am currently working on a bathroom with her and although I have adjusted the budget downward she has continued to provide wonderful service and will, I know, produce eye-popping results.
