Stirling Elmendorf Photography

Stirling Elmendorf ist ein Fotograf. Geboren 1976 in Washington, D.C., USA. Seit seiner Kindheit an der japanischen Kultur interessiert, kam er 2001 zum ersten Mal nach Japan und verbrachte dort drei Jahre. Er war fasziniert von der starken visuellen Wirkung Japans und begann seine Karriere als Fotograf. Nach seiner Rückkehr in die USA begann er, ernsthaft als Fotograf zu arbeiten. Seine Arbeiten sind in zahlreichen Büchern über Architektur, Natur und Umweltschutz erschienen, unter anderem in der "New York Times" und im "National Geographic Traveler Magazine". 　Er ist auch Musiker und hat Hintergrundmusik für "National Geographic" und "Discovery Channel" komponiert. 　Im Jahr 2012 heiratete er eine Japanerin und machte Japan für die nächsten zehn Jahre zu seiner Operationsbasis, wo er mit Architekten, Designern und globalen Marken zusammenarbeitete. Interested in Japanese culture since childhood, he first came to Japan in 2001 and spent three years there. He was fascinated by the powerful visual impact of Japan and began his career as a photographer. After returning to the U.S., he began working as a photographer in earnest. His work has appeared in numerous books on architecture, nature, and environmental protection, including "The New York Times" and "National Geographic Traveler Magazine. 　He is also a musician and has composed background music for "National Geographic" and "Discovery Channel". 　In 2012, he married a Japanese woman and made Japan his base of operations for the next ten years, working with architects, designers and global brands. From 2022, he and his Japanese wife and business partner are based in Berlin, Germany. 写真家スターリン・エルメンドルフ。 1976年アメリカ合衆国ワシントンD.C.に生まれる。 子供の頃から日本の文化に興味を持ち、2001年初来日、３年間を過ごす。 日本のビジュアルインパクトの迫力に魅せられ写真家としての活動を始める。 アメリカに帰国後、本格的に写真家として活動。 『ニューヨークタイムズ』、『ナショナルジオグラフィック トラベラーマガジン』等、建築、自然、環境保護、多数の本に掲載される。 　音楽家としての顔も持ち、『ナショナルジオグラフィック』、『ディスカバリーチャンネル』の背景音楽の作曲に参加。 　2012年日本人女性と結婚し日本を活動拠点とする。 ビジネスパートナーの日本人の妻と共に2022年からはドイツを活動のベースに置く。
