Working with CBD was a great joy for me and my family. We were not novice to building homes since this was our fourth time working with a builder. We prayed and chose carefully knowing that the the choice of the builder could make the building of our dream home painful or pleasurable. From our first meeting with Mr. Johnson we were convinced that CBD was the right choice. I had known Ken for years before I asked him build a house for us. He had built over half a dozen beautiful houses for some of my friends before we used his services. Ken spent a good deal of time with us in helping design our house and also went out of his way to accommodate some challenges we had in getting the project started and also at a price point where we were comfortable. Without Ken we would not have been able to get started on our project. There were several others that had bought lots in our community and based on the work that Ken and CBD did there were four other home owners that went with him. I truly believe that these five homes are the best built homes in our community. As a matter of fact no other builder was able to get a contract in our community since Ken started building for us. CBD homes, in my opinion, provides the best quality and value that your money can buy. If something didn't look good even after it was framed Ken was flexible, even encouraged us, to change it. He isn't someone who cuts corners but rather is proud of his work and stands by it. Not only will I gladly refer CBD to others, but in fact I already have and everyone that I have referred Ken to has only good things about him and CBD. I will absolutely go to Ken the next time I am ready to build again.

My family moved from out of state in the summer of 2007 and was in the market to have a custom home built immediately in Fairfax Station, Va. Fortunately, my brother was in the process of having his custom home constructed by CBD, so it was an easy decision to hire Ken's company. Ken was very friendly and up front on what we expected from his company with "no surprises." During the build we had minor changes which Ken was super flexible and met all of our demands and requirements. We broke ground in April 2008 and moved in on time as scheduled 7 months later. Ken communicated with us thru the entire building process on every aspect. The imperative part of the build was our relationship of trust. The level of trust in our custom home being built by Ken was based on a "hand shake" which is non-existent in today's times. With that being said I would absolutely have Ken and CBD build another custom home for my family.
