Design of garden was well handled but the actual implementation had multiple problems. Plants and shrubs not properly planted. Either roots exposed or hole for root ball not dug deep or wide enough. Garden paver stones installed unevenly. Grading of soil not done properly the first time. Mulch thrown all over shrubs and plants not removed, and the amount of mulch in some areas did not provide enough coverage with rains easily exposing soil. Newly implemented sod in some areas completely died and looks worst than before work was done. Basically a sloppy job requiring me to follow-up and fix some of these issues myself.

I just completed a project with Sterling Design. What a great experience!! From start to finish, I have been so impressed by this company. The design process was collaborative, my ideas and needs and budget were all seriously considered. Once we finalized the design, we set a date for installation. In between I met Frank at Cornelius nursery and I was able to actually see and touch the plants we were discussing. Frank spent a considerable amount of time educating me on the care of the new plantings as well as my current plants. All along I had regular communication with Ryan concerning dates, times and any questions. The installation went according to schedule thanks to Jesus who managed the project. Again, there was discussion and Jesus kept me informed of the activity every morning. He designed and built 3 free standing trellis walls, using wire and wood, for our ivy. It looks awesome. The gardens are complete and look wonderful. We had a final walk through today, Frank wanted to be sure we were pleased with the project. It was so refreshing to work with people who are knowledgeable, professional and dependable. I highly recommend Sterling Design.

Frank is on time and listens to our needs and problems. Issues are thoroughly addressed and we have a beautiful yard as a result.

This firm offers comprehensive landscaping design and installation. I have used them for years. They did a design for my back gardens that flows perfectly with the rest of the landscaping. They have a variety of effective tools they use for their design. You can check out their website for great photos and a description of their tools and design process. They use earth friendly products and install very high quality plants that are guaranteed. I particularly like that they design to you, the customer's, wishes. They also do color changes for me twice per year and keep the garden's surrounding the house looking fresh, bright and healthy. They have always been timely, responsive and have always been a pleasure to work with. They also follow-up after an install and ensure I am pleased with the final result. I've had great success with Sterling Design and Landscape Resources and plan to continue to use them for the foreseeable future.

We have been using Sterling Design & Landscape since 2011. In 2011 they completely re-landscaped our front and backyard. Frank Mahy came out talked to us extensively about what we were trying to achieve, our favorite plants and drew up detailed plans. The crew that did the planting was on time, did a wonderful job and cleaned up immaculately. We have Sterling Design come out twice a year for seasonal plantings, trimming and fertilizing. We are always very pleased with the results.
