With an impeccable reputation as the (37 years) third generation owner of this company; This Old House appearance (services not donated in exchange for) twice; HGTV Dream House; stairs provided for Ocean Spray; Odessa Petroleum Club; Patriots Owner; etc., this is the only person who has anything bad to stay. Her daughter is a 'woodworker', we exchanged our knowledge, and when asked, I explained the process of building a wood spiral with a laminated skirt board. The discussion never came up of whether I still manufactured (I am a Manufacturer's Rep now after closing down the plant due to my daughter's illness). I went to her house and took measurements; layout sketches; designed the stair and did the shop drawings; placed the order. Because of that service, I was able to design a staircase that would be very comfortable considering her size 4 shoe and short stature, which no-one else would offer. I told her where the stair was being built, she canceled the order, got a full refund, and went direct, using my design layout. Lessons learned, if that's the only time I run into someone like that, I am blessed.
