With over 40 years experience, partners Eric Terry and Dan Malone specialize in custom residential projects, remodels, and vacation homes. Whether it be a pristine high-bluff waterfront property or an existing urban residence in need of attention, Sound Design Group has the experience, creativity and consultant team necessary to make your project a success. We believe a project's character is derived by listening to our client's vision, working with their budget and understanding their lifestyle. Ultimately, we believe that fostering an atmosphere of open communication with owner, builder and consultants establishes the strong team necessary to create a building that not only realizes our client's dreams, but also enhances its surrounding environment. Eric is a Licensed Architect who has enjoyed over 25 years in the profession. After graduating from the University of Idaho he started his career working in the custom residential market of Sun Valley, Idaho, and later settled in Seattle. He quickly began designing custom homes, remodels and vacation cabins. After several years with both a small firm and working as a sole proprietor, Eric accepted an offer from GGLO, a prominent Seattle firm. While Eric enjoyed the diversity of work and the creative atmosphere at GGLO, he found himself looking to return to a setting where a more intimate relationship could be developed with both the project and the clients. In a partnership with Todd Soli as Soli-Terry Architect, they specialized in custom residences, remodels and vacation homes around the Northwest and beyond with small offices in Seattle, Bainbridge and Whidbey Island. After 5 years as Terry Architects, Eric has reunited with Todd under SDG. Dan has over 15 years of experience in both residential and commercial design. He has been a successful team leader for various firms throughout California and Washington, and has delivered projects for clients around the country as well as internationally. He has extensive design and technical experience with a variety of building types and enjoys the flexibility to work either by pencil, pen, computer or mixed media. Dan holds both a BA in Architecture from UNM and a Master of Architecture from the UW.
