Shelley (the owner of River North) has an amazing eye and delievered exactly what I was looking for to make my home feel complete. She is also warm and friendly and so easy to work with. Would highly recommend her!

As a General Contractor Ive worked w Shelley on a few residential projects now. She is professional with a keen design skill, presentation and execution. Contemporary in her designs with clean styling and the perfect flare. She excels both in concept and in accessorizing. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for an elevated final product and a smooth design/ decorating experience.

I have shopped at River North and hired Shelley for two remodels. First, I love all the unique items at River North that you cannot find anywhere else. I recently bought a candle and have really enjoyed the great fragrance and how it keeps my entire house smelling nice. The first remodel Shelley designed for me was the relocation of my laundry room to the second floor. Shelley came up with a great floor plan and design. My entire family absolutely loves the new laundry room, toy closet and built-ins in our bonus room and new mud room. Shelley and her team were easy to work with. The job was completed on time and on budget. The second remodel Shelley assisted me with was a new studio for my graphic design business. She came up with a great color scheme, cool wall treatment, signage and a unique way to display my samples. The finished look branded my company completely. Once again, the project came in on-time and on budget. I would strongly recommend Shelley as in interior designer for a new home, remodel or commercial space. I hope to work with her again in the near future.

I purchased a custom piece of furniture from her store and Shelley came out personally to make sure it was perfect .On several occasions I have hired her for consulting and finding hard to find pieces. Shelly came out to give me advice on painting colors for my new condo. She has the latest apps on her iPad to help us go through the colors sin each room. She also help me select a wonderful Belgium wallpaper. She is very professional, her staff is very professional and your service is great.. I received wonderful comments on how nice the condo looked after all the painting was completed and the wall paper was hung.

Hired as a designer, did a great job with my house. Very professional and easily reachable. Managed the entire project so that my interactions with the contractors was kept to my liking, which was minimal.

SKG Designs is AMAZING! Shelley can take the vision you have in your head and turn it into a beautiful and modern reality. Even for someone like me who is design challenged, she has the ability to read into your style and make it better. We started with just using Shelley to create a palette for all our paint colors and later added in lighting, furniture, etc. I can't imagine working with anyone else to make my home beautiful!

Shelley has been my interior designer for many years, and has recently overseen a major addition to our home. She has helped us create a beautiful entertainment pavilion that has received stunning reviews from many sources, and won her a design award as well.
