Susan Binder

Susan helped us update a house with classic, not necessarily beautiful, 70s style. She was great to work with and took on the special challenge of overseeing work with my son, while I was 600 miles away. She was great to work with, offered options and followed through with installers and contractors to make sure all got done according to a relatively tight time schedule.

Susan Binder's services were a Christmas gift from my thoughtful sister. Susan, is kind, calm and very knowledgeable. When she arrived, we walked through the house and I explained my concerns. The next step was to show Susan, magazine pictures of the styles I liked. We then walked through the house once more. She helped me find solutions for design issues, I've been struggling with for a decade. Talk about the perfect gift!

We worked with Susan on a project to lighted up a dark interior hallway. She did an excellent job for us, in particular helping us, through several iterations, define our requirements and expectations while staying within our budget. She was extremely knowledgeable about lighting systems, layouts, etc, and very professional in presenting her ideas, asking the right questions, and modifying plans as we went along. We would definitely use her again, not just for lighting projects, but also for other home improvement efforts.

Susie did a fantastic job of designing my landscaping and house entrance ways. This was the second time I used her for this kind of work. She is professional, timely, and reasonably priced. I am on a corner lot on a slope and wanted to have raised garden beds. She created a beautiful design that integrated the old with the new. i would highly recommend her to anyone one needing any kind of design work.

We own a 2 bedroom 1 bath house to which we added another bath, another bedroom, and a utility room. Susan advised us on the kind and placement of lighting while everything was still in the paper phase of planning. Now that construction is complete, her recommendations have proven quite satisfactory, both aesthetically and functionally. She knows a lot and is a good listener.

Susan designed a beautiful kitchen for me. She was willing to work with my quirks. I received many compliments on it. People especially liked my pull out granite covered work table. I was able to use a lot of formica, but the bar, pull out table and one small counter covered with granite made it look a lot more expensive than it was.

Susan designed our kitchen and we absolutely love it. We converted a 100 year old barn into a home which required imagination and vision. The kitchen is functional and includes custom features such as a raised dishwasher, extra large dish storage cabinet and a pantry with hidden access panel. Her recommendations for countertops, cabinet style, color and hardware gave us a perfect blend of old and new. When we had changes to the plan she was able to quickly create new sketches and update our blueprints. Susan is very creative which I really appreciated. Her background in lighting was also put to the test as we have some very low light conditions and high ceilings to contend with. The fees that we paid were very reasonable and my husband and I believe that we received good value for the price.
