SIW Impact Windows & Doors

Do not use! If I could give 0 stars I would. Impact doors and windows were installed and have become permanently cloudy due to what SIW says is a defect in the glass and they will not fix! We would have to pay for a replacement.

Recently I had a very positive experience with the after sale service that I received from SIW Solutions, LLC. This company is very professional and I would highly recommend them.

Original hurricane windows and doors in 2013 resulted in a failed inspection due to windows being installed without screws. Was rectified at that time. 2020 kitchen renovation revealed the sliding door that was installed as our kitchen window had been installed with 7 screws that were too short - tips of all screws were less than 1/16th of an inch into the structural concrete. Contacted SIW multiple times via phone and a physical visit, no response from SIW. Had to hire outside company to rectify situation to be able to complete kitchen. SIW product is great but their standing behind their installation is non-existent. Very disappointing and a cautionary tale for future clients.

I still haven’t received my front door which is currently a month and a half late. No support dispite them knowing it’s holding us up in all aspects of our project. I would have loved an honest answer but there’s been inconsistencies in all communication and seems no one knows when I’ll see it. I would never recommend this manufacturer knowing that they can’t hot their lead times.

We have worked on a handful of projects with SIW. Always a pleasure and very professional. They have great installers.

SIW manufactured and installed 10 impact windows and 4 impact atrium doors for our custom house renovation. This project was a Historic preservation, meaning that we wanted to keep the authenticity of the original context of the area. SIW's window and door style was a contemporary and tropical feel that alluded to the various other details that we integrated into the home. We highly recommend the whole company, from the sales, installation, and service teams, to anyone who will need the whole package of a custom window and door manufacturer!

When we decided that we wanted to have Hurricane Windows and Sliding Doors installed in our apartment, we set out to find a company to do the job. After speaking to friends and acquaintances who had recently replaced their existing windows with Impact Resistant Windows, we chose four different companies for estimates. Each of the four companies came to our home to speak with us and to measure and give estimates. We were amazed by the differences in the estimates, with one being double the cost of the others. After we met with representatives of the four companies, we finally chose to use SIW Windows and Doors. Our salesman, Paul was very professional in his presentation. He told us about his product, letting us know that SIW manufactures the windows themselves in their own factory. We liked that fact and were very appreciative of Paul’s concise and down to earth presentation of what we would need, the cost, and the estimated time to expect until completion. We were able to go to their showroom to see samples of the windows we would be getting. SIW handled getting the necessary permits and our job began on the date that was promised. We were replacing 13 windows and 14 sliders. The workmen did an outstanding job with the installation. They were very respectful of our property and were pleasant to have in our home. We were absolutely amazed by their skill and by how hard they worked. The installation of our windows was completed on time and at the cost that we were quoted. SIW is the place to go for impact glass. They manufactured and installed our 250lb. 7'x7' glass pivot front door. It is spectacular. They also replaced our back doors with beautiful sliders. After the permit process (about 7 weeks) they removed our front door and installed in one day, same for the back doors, and then one more day for perfect finish carpentry (although they don't paint) Everything was done in a timely (amazing on Miami Beach), courteous, and impeccable fashion. And the owner Abe actually responds to phone calls quickly and helped us with the arduous inspection process. Abe takes pride in his product and his employees.
