Having worked with Simon on several projects, I have found him to be an astute and competent architect. I also feel, like myself, his international experience lends an extra edge to designing and understanding projects that others may not necessarily possess.

We have engaged Simon on more than one project so that tells you something about how highly we regard him. Aesthetic design is not his only attribute but he has a detailed knowledge of practical building which means that "designed-in" problems are avoided at an early stage. This is a rare skill not given to many architects and we say that through experience of others. Simon is also very responsive and efficient. He likes a challenge, never forces his ideas on a client but will always have a number of alternative options. Simon is best seen as an investment (in your project) not a cost.

I am a Chartered Structural Engineer and worked closely on many projects with Simon over the last 10 years. I have always found him very professional and easy to work with . Over the years he has presented some innovative ideas which whilst making it challenging for me! has provided some 'wow' factor projects. He has some great ideas and is able to 'think outside of the box' . He is at the top of my list when recommending an Architect.

Simon designed and project managed the remodelling and extending of our 2.5 bedroom / 1 reception / 1 bathroom oak frame cottage into a 4 double bedroom / 2 reception / 2 bathroom. His eye for intelligent use of space is incredible and we were very happy with every single element of the job which came in very close to budget. The finish is seamless and the extension to the property is not easily identified inside or out (as per the brief). I have seen other examples of his work and am always impressed. I cannot recommend Simon enough.

Simon was invaluable in helping us re-shape the ground floor of our house. He listened to our needs, worked with us and our builder, and enabled us to maximise our living space. He put forwards some creative suggestions, and without his input, we would not have ended up with the layout that we have now. His knowledge and experience helped get the best solution for us.

I first came across Simon several years ago when he was project managing the refurbishment of my boss's Grade 2 listed property and found his attitude, knowledge and attention to detail second to none, so had no hesitation in recommending his work to my husband when he needed an architect for his business. We've also used Simon's services for our new home. We needed a garage & utility room converting to a granny annexe for my disabled mother before we could move in, which was no mean feat, especially considering the time scale, my mother's specific needs and mobility problems, but all was completed on schedule with fantastic results. Simon is always able to help with suggestions that you wouldn't generally think of and which not only work but make for a much better finish. We would have no hesitation in recommending Simon and would definitely use his services ourselves in the future.

We asked Simon to help us re-design a 1960's bungalow which was dated and needed re-modelling. Planning was difficult as it was in Green Belt and would not give us the increase in size we required. Simon advised us to go down the Permitted Development route which increased the bungalow from 1300 to 3200 square feet. His design was creative, modern and introduced some wonderful innovative features. He was patient, understanding and sympathetic to our requirements and we now have the most wonderful family home which has exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend him highly enough!!
