Shull Landscaping

David Shull and his company, Shull Landscaping, are top notch in their field. I had five contractors bid on my job of hardscaping my side yard with driveway pavers, pouring a concrete apron, lawn grading, and laying sod. Being an engineer, and being a very meticulous person, I sent my requirements and an itemized list of tasks to each of the five contractors, but only Dave’s proposal addressed every detail exactly as I requested. Therefore, according to my standards, Shull Landscaping provided the only fully compliant proposal. His was not the cheapest bid, but it was a reasonable price, and a proposal that left no detail unanswered. He addressed all my issues and wants, and submitted a site plan and detailed price quote for each item that made the other contractors’ quotes look like back-of-the-envelope bids. Naturally, his proposal outshined the others by making them look very inferior, and that is a warning sign to me that the others’ work ethic may be just as non-compliant and inferior as their proposals. Dave and I worked extremely well on this project, and he took the time to meet with my wife and me at a supply house and educated us on the tradeoffs between different paver manufacturers and their family of products. He guided us on the best value paver for our particular job, and for that we are very thankful. I knew that I had chosen the right contractor as the project progressed and I saw an opportunity to make an upgrade that he warmly accepted as a small but aesthetically desired project enhancement. He uses state of the art technology in E-Mailing customers the contract, a detailed price breakdown of his quotes, and the ability to sign and return documents digitally. Shull Landscaping is truly a class act! Having gone through this project with Dave, I would highly recommend only him, as he is a master in his field.

Shull Landscaping completely transformed our backyard. David provided recommendations on how best to remove an existing dated deck and modernize using the new Astek decking and white fascia. He provided visual drawings which allowed us to adjust and change the layout to meet our needs. David recommended patio pavers and shared some previous work locations so that we could see the final product. He even recommended a fake grass area for our little puppy which has worked out quite well. Overall the work performed exceeded our expectations. David started the project and finished based on the contract. We continue to receive compliments from friends, family and neighbors.

These men went above any expectations I had. Their work is beautiful. They were punctual, polite and very friendly. Very thorough in explaining exactly what they were going to do and why. I would highly recommend this company.

They recently completed a patio installation for me and they did a great job. For me, the best part was how well and how often Dave and his team communicated about the project. He returned every call and email within 24 hours and proactively reached out to me with questions. he was also very helpful in providing samples and recommendations when we were deciding on the pavers, patterns, etc. During the project, his team found an additional problem with the footing for one of the columns on my deck and were able to fix that as well. The pricing was reasonable and competitive. Overall, the patio looks great. Very level and well done. I can see it lasting for a long time.

Shull Landscaping is excellent. We hired them to replace the stones by the curbing, to fertilize and seed the lawn, and to trim the shrubs around our house. David was great to work with because he was professional, detail oriented, and communicates well. Since we just moved to the area recently, we were thrilled to be able to ask questions about lawn maintenance and landscaping options. He and his crew were fast and efficient. We loved that they a fantastic job cleaning up after they completed the work. The price was also very reasonable! We plan on using them for all our landscaping needs.

Shull Labdscaping has been taking care of our yard for 5 summers. This past winter they installed a patio plus fire pit, as well as a space for a hot tub. We love it!
