At four years old I thought I was the best designer of all times. The tree in our backyard had the perfect spot for a four year old to start designing her space.
The tree had a flat spot that I could borrow things from the house, pick flowers from the neighbor’s gardens (of course I did not know I was stealing), and had a pretend house that all of my little friends envied.
So that is where it all started.
Jump forward a few years and at 18 moved into my first apartment. Yes, I painted one wall purple, one wall green, one wall yellow and one a wall red. I don’t think I was the envy of the neighborhood.
And then I grew up, got married and began a career at Satterwhite Log Homes. I learned a lot about construction and realized I had a true desire to decorate home with a rustic flair and this went on for about 28 years.
Life changed and I became a widow and started my own design business. When a client’s house was finished I would create a wonderful gift basket for their home. That is how Gratitude from the Heart was created.
I help people learn the art of saying “Thank you” for business with a beautiful gift created by Gratitude from the Heart.
I had the pleasure of being a designer for Kilgore College Rangerette dorms in Kilgore, Texas.
