If we could give Krista a 10 Star Rating; we would. And well deserved. We hired Krista to update our family room brick fireplace wall. This was a rather large project to complete. We painstakingly searched for months to find an artist that could specialty paint and update the dark brick. We found Krista of Shiner Studios via houzz.com and are we ever glad we did. We didn't want the brick painted just a solid color. We wanted the brick to look natural. We did have an 'inspiration' photo of what we were after. We knew we needed someone that had the artistic ability to specialty paint the grout and each brick individually; to accomplish the natural look we were after. Plus incorporate their talent into the project. Krista did a phenomenal job in accomplishing this and far exceeded our expectations. Her artistic ability, listening skills and experience (and patience) were exactly what delivered the final results. Our family room brick fireplace wall is now lighter, natural looking and absolutely beautiful. We are very grateful to have found someone as talented as Krista. She definitely elevated the interior of our home.

Krista was referred to me by a local painting company. I have a floor to ceiling fireplace in my two-story townhouse that I wanted to refresh. I did not want to just throw paint on it- I wanted to make the color of my stone (faux stone) fireplace look more natural, updated & neutral. Since Krista's specialty is decorative concrete & decorative painting, she was the right person for the job. The job was completed on a snowy Saturday- 1 day to complete the job. I love my fireplace now, it looks more modern, natural and not outdated like it once did!

Krista painted a beautiful mural on our dining room ceiling. We love the vibrant colors and uniqueness it gives our space. She was extremely professional throughout the entire process and really took her time to make our vision come to life. She also completed the project within her projected timeline.

My wife hired Krista a few years ago to finish out her basement bedroom and bathroom floors with a very nice concrete overlay. A couple years later, we finished the basement and had Krista come back to stain/paint our new staircase as well as stain the new concrete we had poured in the finished off media room. She did an excellent job again, answering and solving any concerns/issues that came up. She was able to do a really good match with the original concrete overlay to the new stained concrete area. The design on the stairs (stain and paint combination) turned out really great too. Overall, Krista was very professional and very prompt on any follow up that was needed.

I hired Krista to help me pick out paint colors for each of the rooms in my house. She asked good questions and she really listened to me to understand my style. She walked through each room with me and not only recommended a color but also made suggestions about other aspects of the room whether it was layout or accessories to achieve the final look that I wanted. I felt like she went above and beyond and I would not only recommend her but I would hire her again too!

I have known Krista since 2011 when she volunteered to become involved in one of our National Kitchen & Bath Association fundraising events - called Lavs & Loos - we asked local artists to embellish sinks and toilets. Her creativity on the project was smashing and her professionalism was outstanding. Krista is a people person, very comfortable to be around, very respectful of others, their time and space - a rare bread to find someone that professional in the art world - her creativity is only limited by her clients' direction.
