My wife and I recently worked with Shawn and his team to add approx. 108 sqft including a new bathroom to our Gregory Gardens home in Pleasant Hill, CA. From our first interactions with Shawn through the completion of final punch-list items, we really enjoyed the relationship, trust, and communication Shawn provided. Having a team on site that we felt comfortable with was a key factor in our contractor selection process, and would recommend Shawn St. Germain Construction! Often times, Shawn would recommend design elements or discuss project options that both provided better functionality and came at a lower cost, helping us stay on budget. Him and his team was responsive and patient as we made changes along the way, and we're very happy with the final product! We'll be reaching out to SSGC for our future construction projects based on our experience.

We had just moved into our new home and wanted to convert a master bedroom en-suite into 3 walk-in closets, remove carpet and install hardwood floors, install recessed lighting, and convert a nook area into a pantry in our kitchen. We wanted the work to start right away so we can get fully settled into the home. Shawn's main crew was working in Lafayette on another home and had some downtime while waiting for inspections and was able to fit us in right away. Shawn's team was professional, and the work was very high quality. We have a home that has specialized crown moldings in every room and his team was able to match the closets/pantry to look exactly like the original design. Overall Budget was close to the original estimate and the schedule was a little longer then expected but that was because Shawn split his crew in between the two jobs. We were ok with that as he was able to start right away. We are now fully settled and loving the home. Highly recommend his company!

We hired Shawn to redo our master bathroom, and we are so happy with the results. All of Shawn's recommendations were spot on. He pays attention to detail, and the quality of his work is superb! We will be hiring Shawn, again, for future projects.

The Architect I hired, suggested a wood ramp leading up to my front door. I contacted Shawn for the job, he suggested a concrete ramp instead. He explained, that concrete would be less maintenance and look better. Due to heavy rains and saturated soil, the ramp bulged during pouring. Personally, I would have accepted the flaw, but Shawn insisted it be corrected. He said, his company's reputation demanded he be satisfy with the outcome. The "fix" was not simple or cheap for him, I suspect little profit was made. Ramps aren't inherently pretty, but I get compliments all the time. Bottomline, he impressed me from start to finish.

We hired Shawn and company to completely redo a half bath and laundry room. Shawn referred us to sources for cabinets, tile, etc. The workmanship for installation of all materials was excellent, as well as the paint job. We would highly recommend Shawn's company.

Shawn has done projects for us over many years. He is a consummate professional! On time, fairly priced and great attention to detail. He has all these qualities. We are pleased to recommend him.

We've been exploring the possibility of a home addition over the past year, and in that time have interacted with a lot of different people. Among them Shawn was definitely a standout. We were most impressed by his professionalism, which included his excellent communication, timely responses, and general facility with handling our (sometimes basic) questions. He provided excellent detail about what he could accomplish at a specific price, and he showed great flexibility in his desire to find a meeting point between our budget and our dreams. He is also an affable person, who obviously takes pride in what he does, and--perhaps more importantly--seems to genuinely enjoy what he does for a living. The oft-cited "bedside manner" of doctors is a good parallel to what you experience when you work with contractors. Shawn is the sort of professional who leaves you feeling like you've been heard, your problems are understood, and you're in capable hands. I heartily recommend that anyone looking for a contractor give Shawn a call.

Shawn recently remodeled our 2 guest bathrooms, extended the tile flooring in our master bath and installed siding in the entrance to our home. We can't say enough about the quality work and professionalism of both Shawn and his crew. Our emails and texts were answered promptly and there was never a problem when we felt a phone conversation was needed. He gave us solid direction on purchasing hardware, granite, tile etc. We love just standing in our new bathrooms and marveling at how beautiful Shawn made them. We highly recommend Shawn St. Germain!

Shawn and his crew recently did a whole house remodel and master bedroom addition for us. The number 1 question we got during our project from friends and family was "how is your contractor" to which our reply was always he's great. Most people where shocked to hear this as I don't feel that this is always the case. Shawn was easy to work with, his crew was even easier to work with. They where always polite, professional, and clean. Shawn worked with us from start to finish and was always available and open to discuss things that came up. This was our first big project as a family and I can honestly say that I don't feel it would have been a sucess without Shawn and crew. It should also be noted that we where living in the house during construction and Shawn was always flexable with altering the work to facilitate our needs. I would not hesitate to recomend Shawn to anybody, and would hire him again tomorrow if we where to do it all over again.

Shawn and his crew were fabulous. Our bedroom and bath addition came out beautiful. Shawn's ideas are always tasteful and practical. His crew are respectful, courteous, and easy to have in and around your home. I have another project lined up!
