Associated Terrazzo Company, Inc., was founded in 1975 and was originally established in South San Francisco, California. The business was located there until 1998 then it moved to San Francisco. The founding partners were Osvaldo Lourenco, Afro Bomben and Eugene Pacini. All three were immigrants to America. The three partners retired at the end of 1993, and Osvaldo’s family continued the business. Eddie Lourenco, Osvaldo’s son and Dennis Rocha, Osvaldo’s son-in-law carried on the business. They were devoted to the pride and commitment of installing terrazzo. In July of 2012, Dennis Rocha retired and his son Scott Rocha took his place to follow in his footsteps. The company also took on a third partner, Robert Fontes, to help continue to grow the business. Eddie’s main focus is to work directly with the architects, designers, general contractors and owners to design and budget terrazzo project opportunities to achieve the desired results. He is also in charge of all the office management and project management. Scott & Rob’s main focus is to work directly with our employees and the general contractors at the jobsite in order to maintain the quality in our workmanship and to meet the necessary schedules. Although the terrazzo process has changed throughout the years, the main focus of our company has not. We are dedicated to making sure our clients are completely satisfied when the project is complete. As with the previous partners, Scott, Rob & Eddie have always felt that it is best for our clients if we keep our service area to Northern California. This allows us to focus on projects which are important to the communities surrounding us. Our employees are very dedicated in their field and take pride in their work. We are signatory with and hire union labor (Brick Layers and Allied Crafts – Local 3). We are licensed, bondable & members of both the National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association (NTMA) & the Western States Terrazzo Association.
