Laying a patio and building a wall, Northumberland The job was initially extremely poor, including chipped/wonky/uneven/stained flagstones, incomplete/messy grouting and mess left, including cement on our doors, windows and driveway, and excrement from his dog which he didn’t remove. The flags we laid unevenly and we still have puddles forming, the wall that was built is uneven and not level. The wall is also not sealed properly and water now seeping through from the garden. Sean was combative when asked to come back to rectify the work although he stated on his quote and all paperwork that “all work is to the finest quality and fully guaranteed”. In doing so, he has damaged work done by the electrician, added further stains to the flagstones and has still yet to correct a huge amount of errors, but claims he is finished. We are reporting to Trading Standards and considering legal action against him. Service and level of craftsmanship are both not what was promised.
