Screaming Hot Iron by Todd R. Miller

Todd made a table base for us several years ago, that mimics a tree trunk and it's branches, all out of iron, the "trunk" has the consistency of bark on a tree....Todd knows his stuff, designing it so that the "roots" of the trunk, with the top in place, do not inhibit a seated person...it is amazing looking and unbelievably sturdy, when we went to his shop we also bought a copper birdbath and had to refrain from buying so many other of his imaginative projects. We are now going to figure out whether we want a second tree trunk base to accommodate a longer slab table or his table with four individual tree branches supporting the slab and sell the other table. For such a creative guy Todd is not quirky and is very personable.

Todd is a true artisan and craftsman. I have enjoyed working with him on multiple projects now and have found him to be reliable and fair. I have seen a lot of highly specialized projects coming out of his shop. Always a treat to stop by and do business.

I have just had a "grate" experience working with Todd and Screaming Hot Iron! Todd designed & installed iron grates for the lower level windows of my 98-year-old Dutch Barn style house. I'm very pleased with both the process of working with Todd as well as the end result. He's quick, easy to communicate with, professional, and creative. I felt his price was reasonable and the installation was smooth and quick. Best of all, the new grates look great! And it's lovely feeling secure about having natural daylight stream in through windows that used to be boarded up.

Custom Artisanal Metalwork. The thing that sets Todd apart from many is his keen artistic eye combined with his technical skill honed over many years. Todd can take your concept, and not only realize it in metal, but he typically comes up with even better ways to make what you want work. We've had Todd build railings, an exhaust hood, tables, metal room dividers, and more. It is no surprise that in our custom built home, visitors comment the most about Todd's work in our home.
