Established in 1968, Stephen C. Gidley, Inc. is a full service design-build firm which is located in Connecticut and has been servicing Fairfield County for over 50 years. The biggest secret to our success is we make it about you, not us. So while many “higher-end” remodeling companies employ an army of salespeople, I meet personally with each homeowner for a thorough consultation to explore what YOU want. I bring my knowledge from five decades running this company to each consultation, and none of it is about “selling” you. It is about me being a resource for you. If moving forward makes sense, we’ll meet with an architect or professional designer. And this will be a fully professional design process, not a rough sketch on notebook paper. If you contract with us for the installation phase, I promise my team will NEVER take shortcuts. I say that with great confidence, as we have carefully assembled a special team. The "head coaches" of this team are our Project Managers. Our Project Managers have been with me for more than a quarter century, and they demand that their teams pay close attention to every detail.

I was impressed with Steven Gidley from our very first meeting. He was very articulate and clear in describing how his company worked. We talked over the contract, the the amount of money involved in the project, how and when the job would be completed and all the many particulars I asked for. Steven and his painters were extremely professional, helpful and accommodating despite having an ice storm to contend with. The end result was a beautifully painted interior home and a very happy homeowner. Thank you for your outstanding work.

5 stars isn’t enough to rate Steve Gidley and his Phenomenal team! From our initial meeting to the last nail that was put in our roofing project, they continuously showed a vey high level of integrity, professionalism, skill and knowledge which resulted in the best contractor/client relationship I’ve ever experienced. My only regret is that I didn’t meet Steve 30 years ago as he definitely would’ve been my go to guy for many projects within our condominium association.

I hired this Company to diagnose and repair three brick chimneys, two of which were leaking badly. I was very impressed by the capability and teamwork displayed by the various trade people who worked on the project. Bottom line - the project was completed on time, on budget and most importantly, the problem was solved.
