We received our building permit approval within eight (8) days when three (3) weeks was the standard timeframe for approval due to a very busy construction season. This is in part, thanks to Adam’s hard work and preparation both in the drawings and working directly with the building officials in advance. Adam continued to be very supportive of our project and save us thousands of dollars with Xcel Energy on our utility design. He proposed a better more affordable option & worked directly with Xcel’s team of designers for approval. When we learned cable railings were not allowed on our contemporary home design, Adam built a full-scale model to show the building officials how cable railings could be achieved safely. In the end, Adam’s design was not only approved for our home, but it changed the code for the entire county; something we understand hadn’t been done in nearly twenty (20) years thanks to Adam’s ingenuity, commitment, and follow-through. Savage Architecture was hired to create plans for the Town of Breckenridge for the conversion of a commercial space to meet residential code. The firm worked well with the Town of Breckenridge to obtain approvals and permitting. The plans were obtained on time and under budget.

Savage Architecture has done a great job for us! Adam Savage designed the house we bought in Breckenridge and we brought him back in to complete an addition that is everything we hoped for and more! The addition blends well with the existing home and gives us a sunroom with extra light and views as well as a loft. His concept for our fire pit as a gathering place for friends and family is a showcase. Adam maneuvered us through all the red tape necessary with our POA board in a professional manner, and was reassuring to us that we would be pleased with our project’s outcome. Adam designed our mountain home in Breckenridge and we remain completely satisfied with the home and our experience with his firm. Our lot is on a steep slope and Adam came up with a design that fit perfectly on the lot and gave an incredible view of the surrounding mountains. His knowledge of building codes and regulations and the proper timing of getting the various permits was invaluable to us. We have built two homes in Iowa and the plans and specifications drawn by Adam were much more meticulous and precise than the work other architects have done for us. Adam did a tremendous job on our addition. We had a 1990’s style 4” log cabin with detached garage. The inside of the cabin was all knotty pine, but we wanted a contemporary look for the new addition that tied the cabin to the garage. Adam created a beautiful post modern feel to the addition that tied the old school logs & pine to a contemporary mountain style entry, pool room, mud room and new bedroom/bath.
