I have been working with Sandra Livingston of Livingston Interiors Inc for many years. The quality I like most about her is that she not only listens to my questions but she really addresses each one. Our first project was updating my parent’s home. She consulted with me on many areas, replacement windows, up dating the bathrooms, colors etc. She paid strict attention to my budget as I was preparing to rent the house, with the long term thought of maybe moving into it later. Well 4 years later, I decided to renovate the whole house and move into it. Because she had helped me make such good practical decisions in the beginning, it was very easy to add to the existing things we had done. We just changed hardware, updated mirrors in the bathrooms, light fixtures in the bedrooms and adjusted paint colors to create a more sophisticated environment. Her attention to detail is great. We also totally redid the family room and are currently working on the living room. I am happy to recommend Sandra; she is easy and fun to work with.

We worked with Sandra on several projects for our home. Sandra is an excellent interior designer and exhibits a high level of professionalism. When evaluating new projects, she not only considers the existing room structure, like carpeting, lighting, wall painting and window coverings, she takes into account her client’s lifestyle. Sandra proposes several ideas soliciting her client’s feedback for proceeding with the project design. Sandra proposes designs that fit her client’s style and budget. Sandra also has an outstanding list of master craft persons that can provide finishing touches to all projects from upholstery recovering to handyman repair services. She has a wonderful attention to detail that shows in all of her work. We would recommend Sandra as an interior designer for project of any size or complexity.

Sandra came to our rescue in two home improvement projects, a master bathroom remodel and a kitchen improvement project. Her design knowledge in selecting material and colors, patience in working with us, and skills in managing contractors guaranteed outcomes that we love. In the bathroom project, Sandra came up with a creative design to solve a space issue that was driving us crazy. The resulting bathroom feels light and airy even though a relatively small room. In the kitchen project, Sandra applied her expertise in color selection in guiding us in selecting the countertops, flooring and paint for walls and ceiling to blend with each other in sun and shadow. She took the time to educate us in how colors change with location and time-of-day. With the flooring, she meticulously made a paper pattern to precisely lay out the tiles in such a way to visually expand the space. Sandra used her knowledge of construction to work with the craftsmen she hired to gain their respect and to complete the work to her exacting standards. The result is that we love the rooms. Sandra has become our "go-to" design consultant for future projects. In addition to all, she is fun to work with!

We have worked with Sandra on several remodels of our home. Both projects were very positive experiences. Sandra is very good at listening to your thoughts, ideas and concerns and then incorporating them into the project. She is great at solving spatial issues i.e. making a long narrow room look wider. Sandra thoughtfully worked with us and would explained the pros and cons when there was a choice to be made. She is considerate of your budget and when needed will find multiple options for you to consider. We have so enjoyed working with Sandra that we have asked her to help us with our new home that we are building. Sandra is easy and fun to work with and we highly recommend her for large and small projects.

Sandra was my first choice to design and implement an extreme make over of my 42 yr. old condo. A test of time was in the mix for choosing Sandra because she designed and oversaw the remodel of my kitchen 10 years ago. The kitchen's simple and unique functionality to this day, makes cooking a dream. There isn't anything I don't love about our present project. Sandra presented ideas but I was the one to make the final decision. She was a guide not a guard of her own ideas. She is a master at making small spaces useful, beautiful and unique. Her knowledge of fabric, color, construction, took the burden of making mistakes away completely. When Sandra starts a project she leaves no stones unturned to contact, visit the sight, work one on one with the client, craftsmen, contractor, vendors to get the job done. Besides that, we had fun creating a whole new contemporary elegant look with clean lines. I felt that Sandra cared about the project as if it were her own home but the goal was to make a wonderful new home for me. Mission accomplished.

Sandra is exceptional in her knowledge of color and scale. She understands how color affects a room and what color will achieve the look that I want. She is excellent in her arrangement of furniture for proportion and balance in my home. When my budget was meager, she found materials and design ideas that were in my budget and still beautiful and functional. She is gracious and gives my projects her undivided attention. We have worked with Sandra for 30 years on various remolding projects, because she is the best. She is detail oriented, down to where to place electrical outlets for the best use of space and where they might be used. We recently sold our home in less than 2 weeks and that can be partly attributed to Sandra's design ideas that we implemented. People thought our house beautiful as well as functional. We are building a new house on the other side of the country and Sandra is once again invaluable to me for her guidance in choosing materials, and making the most efficient use of our space. Because of her years of experience she knows what to avoid and what is necessary to implement. She works well with the painters, wall paper installers, contractors and carpenters who implement our projects. She does all this with the attitude that your home should reflect you, not the designer. My new home will be beautiful and very functional thanks to Sandra's good counseling.
