The Iron Studio was founded over 30 years ago by artist and owner Kevin Johnson. Having a love for architecture, iron work and people he sought a means by which to incorporate these passions with his artistic talent. We specialize in fabrication and work with our clients to design a one of a kind, custom piece for their home. Our client list consists of homeowners, interior designers, architects, builders, restaurateurs, as well as luxury hotels. They are more than clients - they are friends. Every commissioned piece is made by hand in our studio in Knoxville, TN, but our projects are located throughout the country. We work with specialized contractors that are trained to install our products. Skill and precision to detail are incorporated into every design - from sweeping staircase handrail to drapery hardware. I hired Kevin Johnson and the Iron Studio to make a custom handrail for our remodeled staircase and had a vision in mind for what I wanted to achieve. Kevin Johnson of the Iron Studio has been excellent to work with. He is an expert craftsman blending the engineering of the iron products perfectly for the needs of our new home. He created custom fire screens for each fireplace along with the tools, an outdoor patio table and an iron log holder. He worked very well with our decorators, Taylor & Huie. I would highly recommend him for any custom iron product needs.

When My husband and I moved to Knoxville several years ago, there were already a few installed iron works from The Iron Studio commissioned from the previous homeowners. Now there are several more-inside and out-and across the state line for a vacation home! We simply love everything that The Iron Studio has designed and fashioned for our home.
