Ruth was wonderful to work with. Undertaking a full flat renovation felt like a daunting task, but Ruth guided me through with patience and understanding. She tackled challenging spaces and created clever design solutions, transforming unusable space into beautiful, thoughtful and functional storage. Her team of tradsmen, contractors and joiners were brilliant, I'm still impressed by the quality and standard of their craftmenship a year on. I cannot recommend her services enough - Thank you Ruth!

A marvelous result in a difficult small space. A whole house refurbishment including new stairs, kitchen, bathroom, joinery, floors - the works. Ruth a pleasure to work with. Healthy joint inputs into design. Lots of useful supplier contacts - including a main contractor who was an ideal pick for the job.

Studio Milne, particularly Ruth, did an excellent job for us. She understood our style right from the start - her initial mood boards were spot on. She’s like a mind reader! The New York-style bathroom and adult bedroom with clever storage solutions are just what we wanted. Ruth's attention to detail in the finishes is great, creating a stylish and inviting space. Everything from the choice of wallpaper to the giant upholstered head board ooze style and comfort. Ruth’s a brilliant collaborator. What's impressive is how she tackled the unique challenges of the space like low ceilings in the bathroom and awkward angles in the bedroom with ideas we wouldn't have thought of ourselves. Plus, she captured the ambiance we wanted perfectly – an adult escape from family life. Overall, it's been a fantastic experience with Studio Milne and Ruth.

We were so happy that we worked with Studio Milne for the design of our kitchen extension. Ruth was fantastic throughout, giving us amazing ideas for how to use the space, responsive to our suggestions, and flexible when the building work required a change to the designs. She had a beautiful eye for the design and was excellent in finding decor to complement the look, so we are so happy with our beautiful kitchen and it is a pleasure to spend time there. Working with Studio Milne was the best decision! We moved into an eco-home with wood walls and unconventional materials throughout so decorating was not straightforward! Being local to Walthamstow we were familiar with Studio Milne's commercial work and didn't bother to look elsewhere. Ruth was very flexible and offered a 2h consultation service before we committed to a full project - which was great to get to know each other, brainstorm ideas and scope the project together! Once we decided to go for a more involved project, some of the great things about working with Ruth were her creative ideas, experience, great taste, responsiveness and contact with excellent professionals to bring the project to life! Ruth would even come by during the works to ensure everything was going smoothly and discuss any tweaks needed. Ruth was super friendly and I always got the feeling she enjoyed the work and was as excited as we were about the project! I'd definitely want to work with Studio Milne again on a future project (renovation down the line perhaps?!). Thanks, Ruth!

We booked Ruth for a two hour consultation to help us work through our ideas for our kitchen renovation and it was so helpful. Ruth was able to talk through our ideas and provide ideas for bringing it all together, including suppliers, finishing touches and colour schemes. She was great to work with and has great style, we will be using her again as the work progresses. Highly recommend.

Ruth helped us with our kitchen extension and she was fabulous. Her expert guidance and exquisite taste allowed us to have the dream house we always wanted but could never do by ourselves. She came up with solutions and practical suggestions to tricky layout issues and always remained calm and cheerful. I never felt my concerns, questions or ideas would be rebuked. We've had a wonderful experience working with Ruth on our office refurbishment. From the very beginning she was brimming with thoughtful, practical, and beautiful designs and totally understood our vision and niche. She quite simply has an intuitive creative vision that you won't find anywhere else. We highly recommend her for commercial projects.

Taking on our kitchen / dining room project was quite daunting in terms of making sure the end result would work well for all of our family. We have not worked with an interior designer before so wasn’t sure what to expect but so glad we got Ruth on board to help. Ruth was able to present us with a clearer vision of how it could look and helped with layout, colour and fixture/fitting decisions that we otherwise would have struggled with on our own. Ruth presented the scheme with colour/material samples which was really helpful to get a better feel for how it would work together and gave us more confidence in moving forward with the design and with some bolder colours than our usual staying safe choices! It was really helpful to have Ruth to check in with on decisions and little aspects we needed another opinion on. Details of suppliers Ruth has previously used too was also a great help to access. We are really pleased with the result and appreciate the help Ruth gave us.

We decided to do a ground floor refurbishment of our house after a severe flood meant we had to replace all our flooring. The renovation included moving the kitchen into an entirely new room, for which we needed proper advice from a professional. Ruth is a busy and sought after designer but she was very kind and was able to draw up our kitchen layout. It made such a difference having a professional do this work for us. She thought of small but important details such as where lighting and electrical points should go, and produced beautiful drawings to help us visualise the space, which was impeccably though out and perfect for our needs. We couldn't afford the full interior design service, but Ruth still generously put us in touch with a flooring specialist and also recommended a number of other suppliers which helped us enormously at what was for us a very overwhelming period of the building work.

We loved working with Ruth! She helped us create a home that’s bold and full of personality in a harmonious, sophisticated way. We drew inspiration from our family’s love of Norfolk in the concept stage, creating a common thread to tie all the rooms together. A coastal colour palette with nods to the sea and nature which runs throughout the house. The process ran smoothly due to Ruth’s expertise and her considerations for the design, making sure it had cohesion and flow. Her visuals and communication throughout the project were fantastic, and we trusted her completely. We knew exactly what to expect and it turned out exactly how we wanted it to.
