I hired Wilkinson Architectural Group for a comprehensive remodel of my home based upon multiple highly favorable recommendations. The remodel included an addition, all new bathrooms and kitchen, new and relocated windows, and moving multiple interior walls as well as all new finishes throughout. Rob Wilkinson has excellent vision for both function and aesthetics and did a fantastic job on all facets of the project. Not only was he very cost effective for the design, he had excellent ideas on how to keep the construction costs reasonable. The entire design process was smooth and timely and Rob's excellent plans allowed me to get quality bids that in the end resulted minimal change orders. Rob has my absolute highest recommendation.

I highly recommend Rob Wilkinson for designing a house in Marin. We worked with him in 2015-16 on a total remodel of a home on the Larkspur Boardwalk. He coordinated easily with the City of Larkspur, worked well with the contractor (someone he knew and with whom we had worked before), and personally attended all client or contractor meetings in which the architect was needed. (I emphasize the meetings because that is where a lot of design decisions are made, and you want someone with 30 years of experience there, not a beginning architect.) Wilkinson Architectural designed two new bathrooms, a completely remodeled kitchen, a reconfigured atrium, and a new, radiant heat floor. Every room of the house was rethought and improved, but the original charm and character of the home (why we bought it) remained. Rob is friendly, engaged, and direct. He respects the client's wishes and he stays flexible. We have seen several homes in Larkspur that he designed, and all of them are quietly impressive. He works well with different styles of homes, whether a craftsman bungalow, or a pseudo-Japanese farmhouse (ours). He is practical, talented, and down to earth. Again, I suggest that you strongly consider him for any single family residence.

Rob helped us to make our dream kitchen a reality. We engaged Rob in 2012 to help us design our kitchen remodel. We held off until 2015 to execute and he seamlessly jumped back in with references for a GC and a updates to our design. He was accessible throughout the project to answer our questions and close on details. Our finished product looks great and we love living in our new space. We'd highly recommend Rob for any projects that require an architect/design expert.

We hired Rob Wilkinson to design and guide us through the construction of a 3200 sq ft home that was built from the foundation up. As complete novices, we were totally dependent on his advice and skills. Not only did we end up with an absolute dream house full of beautiful extras that we would never even have known to ask for (built in cabinets, high ceilings, flared steps on the staircase and extra tall doors), but he also helped us survive the experience. He served as our sounding board as we went through the process of selecting contractors, navigating permits with the county, and dealing with unhappy neighbors There were times that his creative ideas banged up against our budget, but in those cases, he adapted and found solutions that still made us very happy. In a few instances he pushed us to stretch for things he thought were important, and in hind sight, those ideas were absolutely worth keeping. Rob is a fantastic architect and we would absolutely hire him again...although we have no plans to move for a very long time.

Rob is an excellent architect, great guy and has become a dear friend. My husband and I have worked with Rob on two projects, both homes that we built from scratch. He is patient, kind and has great attention to detail. I would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting a great design and an easy and skilled architect to work with. Highest recommendations!
