Working with Rob Sanders and his team on the concept, design and renovation of our antique Mill House in Wilton Connecticut was among my most inspiring and rewarding experiences. During the extensive, iterative planning phase with my wife and I, Rob worked magic to capture our needs, wants and style. Rob used his deep experience with Wilton's architectural heritage to create a design that surpassed our expectations while preserving the character of the original dwelling and its profound connection to the environment. We were also fortunate to have him provide oversight during re-construction. His patience, experience and attention to detail helped ensure we achieved a high standard of quality… and we had fun in the process! The result is the home of our dreams in which we are delighted to be raising our family. Nearly twelve years since we moved back in, we continue to be deeply grateful for the privilege to live here. After interviewing 5 architectural firms we selected Rob Sanders to help us with renovating a 1761 colonial farmhouse. It was a big project that took almost year. Rob and his team did a wonderful job! Together we carefully considered every detail. He helped us keep the house classic while still making it livable in today's modern world. The best part was he stopped me several times from spending money on things that weren't worth it. He worked really well with all of our contractors and made sure our best interests were always put first. In the end the project was on-budget and more beautiful than I had hoped. Though its a modest house by New Canaan standards it has won awards, been featured in a magazine, and been part of a local house tour. I can't thank Rob and his team enough for helping make it all happen.

Our most recent project was a garage, mudroom, and patio addition to our 1929 home. We couldn't be happier with the design as well as the professionals Rob recommended to do the work. He listened to our ideas and offered excellent advice. We have worked with Rob since 1992 when he designed a major kitchen overhaul, and again in 1998 when we added a family room. Rob's designs have enhanced the value of both our home and our house.

Rob is a fabulous architect, a real pro! My husband and I selected him back in 2009 for his expertise with historical homes when we decided to renovate our home, which was a c. 1900 barn converted into a house in the mid 50s. Our initial plan was to renovate our master bedroom/bathroom, but we were so thrilled with the results that we just kept going in what became a top-to-bottom gut renovation of the entire house. We couldn't be happier with the results! Rob completely changed the layout of each floor, rationalizing each discreet space for greater comfort and flow. His redesign was very stylish and sophisticated, incorporating modern amenities (i.e. chef's kitchen with all the bells and whistles) and changes to the interior spaces for contemporary living (i.e. kitchen--family room--breakfast nook combination). Yet, at the same time, he was careful to maintain the historical character of our house, with all its charm and appealing quirks. Our house, which we now refer to as a "gentleman's barn," is as comfortable as it is beautiful. Throughout the years of renovation, Rob remained extremely attentive to our project, giving us the kind of personal attention you rarely find nowadays. Given how positive our experience with Rob was, we hired him yet again to design a stand-alone barn-style garage, which is just now nearing completion, and WOW it's a beauty! The design of the garage is in perfect harmony with the historic character of the house. Yet, with features like a Floortex floor coating, over-sized black-framed windows, galvanized steel roofing, and an expanded ceiling height for one or more car lifts to accommodate my husband's growing car collection, our new garage neatly bridges the gap between the historic and the contemporary. We're so grateful to Rob for his vision!

Rob Sanders has spearheaded 8 home projects for our family! This includes 3 of our family residences, a fabulous "barn" that houses classic car, and wonderful rental properties. Our family home is more than 250 years old, and Rob embraced both the past and the future of this wonderful homestead. Needless to say, we love Rob, his family, and his staff!

Rob and his team were invaluable during our home renovation. From the architectural design to the project management, RSA made the experience as stress-free (and fun!) as possible. Rob and his associate Clare made sure we stayed on budget while giving us the style and functionality we desired. We couldn't be happier with the way our home has been transformed.
