We used this company to remodel our teeny tiny master bathroom that also had our stackable laundry. We gutted it ourselves ( no problem for this company)for a savings of 800.00 about 6 years ago. They spent a good amount of time Planning the bathroom with us and were very helpful with suggestions of what and where to buy our sink, toilet, shower door, tile, etc. the room turned out beautifully and functional and the general contractor was always available by phone or to drop by. We would work with this team again.

We remodeled a master bathroom. From design to completion Bruen Design Builders were professional, timely, responsive and knowledgeable. When a small problem surfaced a few months later, it was fixed promptly. We recommend them for the quality of their work. Please see comments on a 2012 job. In 2012 during the storm Sandy a large oak tree severely damaged our home including broken rafters in our attic. Through this stressful time, we worked well together coordinating the project. Their concern for well being was always evident. We are grateful for their help through this difficult time.

Incredibly professional - work was done with great craftsmanship and care. Great artistry - Bruen Design came up with wonderful ideas and then executed them beautifully. Good communication - overall schedule was communicated along with those of the sub-suppliers (masons, electricians, plumbers, etc.) Great value - Stayed within budget and presented options to get the look we wanted at the price we could afford. Work is holding up beautifully - even after 10 years with hard use, I love the rooms that Bruen Design created. Extremely accomodating - Bruen Design worked around our family's needs and kept the original kitchen workable until the last possible moment. They were incredibly easy to work with and made the whole remodeling project a joy.

Bruen Design Build transformed our kitchen from awkward and outdated to efficient and inspired. In the planning phase Carl Bruen brought many creative ideas to the table- including a table! booth seating and clever storage solutions. All of his designs blended beautifully with the style of our one hundred year old home. The kitchen project was completed in 1997 and people are still saying “I love your kitchen!” We love it, too which is why we have hired the Bruen Design team again and again. They've remodeled two of our bathrooms, constructed a super cool built-in bookcase to hide a hideous steam pipe, built a fence, rebuilt a back porch, mended and rehung carriage garage doors, and even tackled tiny projects that other contractors would have blown off. Last summer (2012) they reworked our delicate front porch columns. The Bruen work crews are highly skilled, pleasant and leave an impressively tidy workspace. We’ve always felt comfortable handing over our keys. Life doesn’t screech to a halt just because construction is going on! We highly recommend Bruen Design Build to all of our friends.

Carl Bruen from Bruen Design Build Inc has completed several projects for me ranging in size. He has installed french drains, sump pumps and backup batteries in my basement. He has replaced my laundry sink. He has installed my lamppost. He is working on installing my back up whole house generator. He has helped me with transplanting shrubs and rescuing fallen ones! Carl has even been known to rid my house of a bat! He is there for whatever I need. Carl's work is meticulous and thoughtful. He takes the time to really think through the best solution, discuss it with me and then formulate a strategy for execution. The site is always left clean and neat. He is careful to use proper ventilation to reduce dust and particles in the home. Carl is also very sensitive to children and not interrupting their routine at home. He makes every effort to schedule around our needs. I highly recommend Carl and Bruen Design Build for your projects!!

Carl truly listened for our needs during our initial design meeting(s), and he came up with a design that fit our needs AND budget. The work was done neatly with little interference to our lives. Carl and his team were very respectful of our home. The work was done beautifully (pics later) and on time. They may have even been a little more detailed oriented than I am :).
