Robert Waltos homes was an excellent choice for our kitchen remodeling. The work was done precisely and with exemplary attention to detail.

I brought in Robert Waltos Home after a water pipe burst in my companies office space cause by the Polar Vortex. Roberts quote was the second quote I received as I didn't believe the first contractors quote I received was reflect of what needed to be done. Robert came in the day after I called him, we talked through what I wanted to be done, and the project was underway the following week. This project was very time sensitive as we decided to not only gut the suite but also to take down the conjoining wall between offices and merge office spaces. Robert's crew was 110% respectful, on time and understanding of my company’s needs and goals. I would recommend Robert Waltos Homes hands down every time to anyone who is thinking of doing a project.

We are very pleased with the makeover of our 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. Robert eliminated the nasty popcorn ceiling, installed new flooring, put in kitchen cabinets with a more efficient design than our old ones, updated our baths with new tile and vanities, converted a tub space to a walk-in shower and updated all our lighting. His crew is outstanding -- very skilled and accommodating. Along with the major work, we truly appreciate Robert's attention to the little things. He wanted us to be satisfied with each and every detail of the project. And -- we definitely are.

We hired Robert Homes to do a full renovation for our kitchen. The project lasted around 5 weeks. Overall, our experience with Robert's crew was a delight, to say the least: they are very courteous to our needs, experienced, punctual, thorough and had a great design taste. My wife and I are very happy with the work, and we'd hire them again to do other projects for us.

Robert Waltos and his tradespeople were professional, timely, and trustworthy. Mark and Roman understood my vision and they were able to make it real. The renovation included 3 bathrooms and a kitchen. The team was on time and worked around my schedule. From plumbing, carpentry, drywall, electric, HVAC, and tile work -they can do it all with care and precision.

Robert and his team did a great job with a complete renovation (down to the studs) of my two bathrooms in my condo. They were professional, fast, and the work is high quality. I am very pleased with the outcome, as are all of the guests I've had over. Additionally, he and his team have done numerous projects for my condo building--all completed quickly and with high quality. I would highly recommend.

If I could add ++++ to the stars I would! Robert is AWESOME! We have used Robert for small and big house projects over the past 15+ years and every job was done perfectly. Robert is polite, nice, and respectful to everyone and to our house, trustworthy and an all-around great person! I've referred Robert to many friends and even the owner of the company I work for and she has used him for work/office and home projects and she is also VERY pleased. Robert has guided us through turning a closet with the water meter into a full bathroom and is creative with how to best use the space available and where to take from other rooms. Robert has worked on the outside of our house and many inside projects over the past 15+ years. And there are never any surprises with additional costs and the projects take as long as he estimates. Really I can't say enough good things about Robert...he is the best!

Robert and his employees have completed multiple projects at our home over a fifteen year period. We have always been pleased with the high quality of craftsmanship and service that he has provided. Robert and his employees are easy to have around the house during projects . We have found his staff to be a polite and repectfull as he is.

We had a wonderful experience with Robert remodeling our bathroom and installing and refinishing hardwood floors. He's extremely easy to work with. His crew are very nice and easy to have around. HE worked hard, almost overtime, to ensure the project was done exactly how we wanted it. We highly recommend him.

Having recently completed a major remodel of my home with Robert and his team at Waltos Construction, I could not be happier with the process and the results. Robert helped with design, shopping for fixtures & materials as well as personally being involved in every step of the construction. He created a huge and beautiful master bath were there once were only poorly made closets and a useless vanity, turning my tiny old bathroom into a closet instead (see “A master bathroom remodel in his photos). He completely remodeled and enlarged a second bathroom (see “Hallway bathroom). He designed and installed new closets and created built in drawers which greatly enhanced function and design of master bedroom. He installed wood flooring in place of old carpeting throughout 3 bedrooms and hallway, provided new recessed lighting throughout the house and painted the interior. Every step of the way, Robert and his crew did great work, were on time, stayed in budget, were easy and pleasant to have around, and kept the job site tidy. Robert is extremely patient and flexible, never hesitating to make changes when asked. His attention to detail is really impressive and his tiling is a work of art. He is quickly responsive by phone, email, and text. He is currently starting my next job of renovating my patio. Friends who have seen his work are very impressed and lining up to hire him next. Friends who have already hired him are equally pleased with his work. I highly recommend Robert and Waltos Construction.

They do a very nice job and not only I have used them for multiple jobs but also recommended them to clients who have been happy with them as well. They have painted my house exterior, remodeled a kitchen, repaired a chimney, replaced rotted wood, finished an unfinished space, installed lights, finished a basement, tiled, installed laminate flooring, interior and exterior doors, trim, etc. They work well with lenders and villages helping to get permits if you need them. I would highly recommend them.

Robert and his team are a delight to work with. Their work is top notch, they are easy (in fact fun) to have in your home, and they are flexible and attentive to detail. They are great communicators--returning calls and texts quickly! And, they don't consider a job complete until their customers are 100% satisfied. In our case that included two return visits months after the initial work was done because of something I changed. Cannot say enough good things about Robert Waltos Design Build!!

I have worked with Robert on several projects because I am a designer. He is one of the only contractors that I like to work with because he does excellent work and is very reliable. He and his crew follow through on every detail of the project to produce some beautiful spaces. The craftsmanship is top quality at Avery fair price. My clients all rave about how easy he and his crew are to have around. They always are polite and keep the jobsite tidy. I highly recommend him for large and small project.

In our opinion, the Waltos Family is the "first family" of Chicago contractors. We've had the privilege of using them twice in the last 10 years. First, to duplex our north side condo, and more recently, to renovate our Hyde Park townhome. Both times, they did beautiful, quality work, at a reasonable price, within our timeline. Waltos was glad to make our last-minute design changes and were always very responsive and professional. Importantly, they minimize your stress with their easy-going approach. They're even good around kids! We highly recommend Waltos Construction.

Robert remodelled our house at Libertyville. He did a great job. It was a gut rehab. He has a family business, so they all were involved in the project. They did the framing, bathrooms, kitchen, carpentry,... He has a team who can do plumbing, electrical, roofing. We went way beyond our budget but this is the time when the material and labor cost is rising as the housing market is hot. He also helps us with projects in our rental units. Overall, wee are very happy with his work and will use his help in any future projects if he is available.

Robert is one of the few contractors I've worked with who is skilled, fair, open and ON TIME! His work is very very good and we have used him several times for all sorts of projects and always been completely satisfied. He provides great value for the price and most importantly, he shows up and completes the work as promised and on time. I would recommend Robert to anyone.
