Robert did a mural and a wall painting for us and it was fabulous. He was very professional, met his deadline and price quote. The quality of his work is amazing. We are very pleased. He took a very plain wall and made it look like rock, his idea and then did the painting on the wall. I would recommend him.

Robert Gutierrez is an excellent designer. He did an excellent job on our mantle, staircase hallway and bathroom. Our home had plain walls but, now it has beautiful dark, gold rich tones on our walls. The price was very reasonable and he finished the,job in the timeframe he said he would. He's very eager to please his customers!

Robert Gutierrez signed a contract with me for $15,000 for which I paid $5,000 to start. The agreement calls for another $5,000 when he is 2/3 done and the final $5,000 when the work is complete. Instead, I agreed to pay another $2,000 two weeks into the project because he claimed he was “very tight” on funds (big mistake on my part). The scope of work included three large canvas paintings, three large murals and some other minor wall and furniture refinishings. He said he would complete the work in one month at the time of the contract signing. We are now 2 1/2 months into the project time and he is only about 25% complete with no single item 100% complete. He works only 3-4 hours per day and sometimes does not even show up. When I take long weekends away from home we agree that he will dedicate his time to advance the paintings at his home but come the following Monday he has done absolutely nothing. When I question him as to why he has done nothing he has no answer, almost like a child who knows he was supposed to do something but when caught just stares at the floor. I have terminated his services since I can see that he has no interest in completing the work. I will have to hire another artist to do the work. Robert still has one of the unfinished paintings in his possession that he needs to give me so the next artist can complete it, but he will not return my calls or texts when I try to contact him. I also need him to reimburse me $3,250 to equal the 25% work he did. Robert has a history of doing this based on input I have now received from others. He collects money upfront, but then does not do the work and goes on to the next project where he does the same thing. I strongly recommend you not hire this dishonest individual.
