We moved to a condo in Edmonds, north of Seattle, that needed a LOT of work. We were fortunate that a neighbor knew of Carlisle, and several of us owners went together, planning projects to run at the same time, almost like one giant job. This was in late 2021, with COVID and supply-chain issues still going strong. But the Carlisle team held it all together, keeping us informed all along the way. The kitchen and two bathrooms were taken down to the studs, and there was even the moving of a wall to be dealt with. We worked with an outside kitchen and bath designer, and Carlisle people, Kevin and Shawn, interfaced beautifully with them, too. Our usually once-a-week meetings were occasionally virtual, occasionally on site, as needed. We understand that Carlisle not only demands superior construction skills but also excellent people skills. And those people skills really show in the teamwork. We're totally happy with the results -- it's like a completely new place!

Peter Butler, Project Manager with Carlisle Classic Homes, exceeded all expectations and then some in the total renovation/addition of our 1966 split level home with a two car garage 4.5 feet below grade. It became a senior friendly structure with almost all new construction from the ground level up with a no or low maintenance exterior finish and a driveway that could double as a wheelchair ramp. We spent a day in mid October 2019 interviewing general contractors and touring projects under construction. Within minutes talking with Peter about how we wanted to make this house adaptable for our senior years, yet exciting for our young minds and hearts, we knew that he would be our first choice. Contract was signed December 2019 with a projected start date the spring 2020. In spite of numerous unforeseen challenges, a pandemic declared by WHO March 11, 2020, businesses in chaos, shrinking labor force, supply chain issues, and general life for all in the unknown; CCH forged ahead and started demolition at the end of May 2020. Peter and I communicated via text, phone, email, and lots and lots pictures. The project management program used by CCH had everything pertaining to the job available - schedule, daily log and pictures, drawings, documents, selections, changes, ...etc. It was like being there watching the daily changes to the house. Saw the completed house for the first time in March 2021. Amazing. Best ever. Classic. Dream. Exceptional. Fantastic. Great. Happy happy happy. Incredible. Perfect. Would definitely call Peter for my next house.

This went amazingly well. This was the second time for me with Carlisle Classic Homes. They were willing to take on my second home in a year with no wait. They finished within budget (a little less, including my one change) and in a timely manner considering covid and the supply chain challenges. I'd hire them again with no qualms (but I never want to do this again!) These were both complete kitchen remodels from the studs out as well as two baths, flooring, wall surfacing, interior paint and innumerable small fixes to a 45 year-old condo.

We recently finished building a home in Edmonds, Washington. It was a “design-build project with Carlisle Custom Homes as our builder. We started building during the Covid 19 pandemic which presented us with significant issues to deal with. CCH handled the labor and supply chain issues as well as the Covid 19 protocols adeptly. We were able to occupy the home 14 months after breaking ground. We were pleased with the quality of the work done and the attention to detail. We highly recommend Carlisle Custom Homes.

Interior remodel of 1917 craftsman single family home. Completely gutted, went from 2bd 1 ba to modern 4bd 2 ba. Stop your searching and hire CCH today! They are THE friendliest team we have ever worked with and they care deeply about the customer experience and quality of their work. Years later we're still in touch - thanks for answering my endless questions CCH! We engaged them to renovate our home starting Feb 2020. COVID hit 4 weeks later, and we had to relocate to Minnesota after kicking off the project. An out of state renovation during COVID?? Jeez. Peter, Jensen, and the team handled the project with grace during unprecedented times, and made sure we were kept up to date on the progress through constant communication and their easy to use BuilderTrend app. It was already an incredible experience to work with them, and during COVID we could rest easy knowing that our property was in the best hands. We went from a 2bd 1 bath home with poor layout to a modern gem in the heart of North Seattle with custom touches. Thanks to CCH we enjoyed a first class custom kitchen, could easily host guests with our finished basement and new laundry room, and enjoy updated HVAC, insulation, plumbing, waterproofing, you name it, they did it. They left no stone untouched in their guidance and execution of the project. We've since relocated to NY and if we could hire them again we would! We joyously recommend CCH to anyone looking to start their next project.

We used Carlisle Home to build our dream home in Leavenworth, WA. This is a completely custom home designed by Syndicate Smith that incorporated a number of unique elements that had to be painstakingly constructed by top tier skilled men and women. We couldn't be happier with the house and the attention to detail and responsiveness off Carlisle. We would love to build another home with them in the future.

We hired Carlisle Classic Homes to build our new construction home . Building a whole entire new home could of been quite overwhelming , however , Alex and Andy made the whole experience very positive .They were good at listening , quick to respond and we felt they were always honest with us every step of the way. They were very transparent with us right from the beginning so we knew what to expect and how they worked. Their communications were consistent and clear . Our job site and materials were always protected and the job site cleaned , We always felt included and advised of the schedule .Our building superintendent , Andy Horst was a joy to work with in every way ! We engaged Carlisle for an extensive whole home remodel in Edmonds and couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process and of course the outcome. We have a condo unit located on a main street with lots of heaving traffic. We needed a product that could help reduce the traffic noise into the unit. After considering a few different options, the Indow product was the best choice for us. It was reasonably priced, easy to install and didn't require having to do any major restructuring to the property and unit. Brian our service representative was professional and offered top-notch support along the way. Highly recommended!

Given the scope of project, we feared getting overwhelmed by all the details, but from our first planning meetings with Carlisle, through the entire project, the process went very smoothly! Carlisle staff we worked with (Project managers Kevin Krumdiack & Alex Adolfi, Site superintendent Mark Clark) were incredibly patient, professional and experienced in guiding us through the entire project. They were always attentive to our questions, concerns and suggestions, which made the entire effort very collaborative. Communications were always timely and informative. They offered a lot of advice and suggestions on the details we had not considered that improved the finished product beyond what we could have imagined. Everyone who worked on the project were friendly, professional, and incredibly talented craftsmen. Their online web portal to manage project, payments, communications, change orders etc. was very useful through entire 9 month project. I had the pleasure of working with Carlisle Classic Homes to do a Magnolia condo remodel. The project involved gutting the main areas and adding upgrades throughout. Working with the construction team was pleasant and professional. They are outstanding craftsmen, creative and and efficient. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend.

I had custom interior storm windows installed. Brian with Carlisle was punctual when he came out to measure for the windows, and punctual when he returned to install them. I went with the Indow Window brand, and am very happy with the results. Brian cleaned up after the installation, and showed me how to maintain and clean the storms. It was a challenging window shape, but they fit perfectly. The storm windows were also designed to minimize noise from the adjacent freeway, and the house is so much quieter now.

My husband and I just completed a phased 2 year complete remodel of our 1935 Tudor home in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle with the assistance of Carlisle Classic homes. Phase I finished last December 2018 and was a complete studs out renovation of the first and second floors; including a full kitchen remodel, two fully renovated bathrooms, rebuilding the stairs to current code, and the addition of a new dormer to add square footage and head height to the second floor. Phase II was completed in October of this year and was fully finishing out the basement; including a new bathroom and laundry room, converting one space into a legal bedroom, and waterproofing and plumbing improvements. When we started the process I was specifically looking for a firm that would respect the historic nature and details of the property while simultaneously being able to bring it into the 21st century. After interviewing several companies, we settled on Carlisle. I was impressed with their book of work on Houzz as well as their approach to the process. They also had a good book of referral partners and through their recommendations I also found an architect and a designer to work with on our project. It was a collaborative process from the beginning with Peter our Project Manager and John our Site Supervisor. Being an older home there were some definite quirks to overcome and some challenges with the permitting process, they rose to the task and solved problems as they came up. I wanted to preserve my existing original stained glass windows, but somehow make them more energy efficient. Peter found a great solution with new window units using the original stained glass as decorative ‘art glass’ on the interior. They were also receptive to the changes we made during the process to keep more of the historic charm intact; which is what drew us to the home in the first place. More than anything I was impressed with the fact that they treated the home as if it was their own and their attention to smallest details…it’s hard to tell what the original woodwork is and what is the new recreated to match the old. The whole process was well managed with weekly meetings and the utilization of the online tool BuilderTrend; I never felt in the dark or left out in any stage of the remodel.

This summer we completed our second major project with Carlisle Classic Homes. Our first project was a studs up kitchen remodel along with some other small projects around the house. That project turned out fantastic and it was on-time and within budget. When it came time to take on a much more unique project we knew who to call. It was great to have the previous relationship with CCH so we could call our PM, Peter, to come take a look at what we had next. This project is best described as an indoor/outdoor space which included an outdoor kitchen, steel structure with roof, electrical, entertainment, etc. It's easier to understand the scope if look at the pictures...you can decide for yourself how it turned out. We would not let anyone else work at our house and will continue to recommend Rob, Peter, Andy and the CCH team whenever we are asked about our projects.

The Carlisle crew was great to work with - from the project manager to each team that came in. They were friendly, showed up on time, kept things as clean as possible and - most importantly - did really great work. This is our first remodel using a contractor - many people have nightmare stories to tell after a project like ours, but we only have praise for CCH - they were great to work with from start to finish.

We used Carlisle Classic Homes to install Indow sound proof windows, not once, but 3 times! The windows made a huge difference in our house (as we live right by the freeway) and we couldn't by any happier. We interviewed 5 top-ranked general contractors for the complete gut/remodel of our condo. Peter Butler, a project manager with Carlisle Classic Homes, was the last person we met with, and we immediately knew we wanted to work with Carlisle. Peter was a great listener regarding our ideas, but he also was straightforward about the challenges of working in a condo building and how we could best manage our budget. He was gracious and honest, and we trusted him implicitly. After signing Carlisle, we went through a long design phase as we determined how to work around some of the issues with the building, and Peter guided us through this process patiently and ably. Once we began construction, Eric Davis was our site superintendent and was the penultimate professional. He was flexible and kind, had a keen attention to detail, put care into all the details that create a beautiful home, and ensured subcontractors were doing the same. He also worked well within the very strict construction rules outlined by our homeowner’s association. Beyond their beautiful craftsmanship, Carlisle was very responsive and kept all their commitments. We had weekly meetings to review progress, and they would make adjustments to the plans along the way when necessary. They were also very organized---they utilized a website where our plans, finishing specs, in-progress photos, schedules, communications and in-progress actuals against our budget were housed. We always had a clear overview and record of the project. The Carlisle team is very special. We were thrilled when our home was complete, but we were also sad to say goodbye to wonderful people who helped us create it.

My idea of a great company is one that provides excellent service, on time, within budget ---working in partnership with the customer at all times. Sixteen month project that transformed the original 1950's house into our dream home situated on a beautiful piece of Lake Washington waterfront. Project included permits, design (H2D Architecture + Design), engineering, ground stabilization, whole house renovation (Carlisle Classic Homes) and landscaping. Excellent vision - design - build collaboration throughout the process. Carlisle Classic Homes met our expectations for quality, responsiveness, communication, safety, and knowledge. Carlisle selected sub-contractors were equally professional and responsive to our needs during the build process. It was a pleasure to work with the entire team! Carlisle stands behind their work and provides timely response to issues or concerns during the build process and after occupancy. We would hire Carlisle Classic Homes again.

This was an amazing experience from the beginning to the end. Brian came out to the house, assessed our needs, discussed production options and arranged a time to install our Indows which worked with our schedule. We live in Capitol Hill in Seattle and were looking for a product which would deliver both energy efficiency and substantially dampen traffic and airplane noise. This is a great solution which looks great and won't break the bank. However, the best part was the service which came with it. Brian and his team installed our Indows to our specifications, even customizing our existing blinds to make the fit even better. The best part of the process was how concerned Brian and his team were. We began our work with Carlisle Classic Homes in the Fall of 2016. The primary scope of our remodel involved replacing our aluminum siding with HardiePlank and adding insulation to our house that hadn’t had it since it was built in 1939! One of Carlisle’s requirements for taking on a remodeling job is to have weekly status meetings. These were an invaluable time to discuss the progress made, hear any concerns we may have, discuss the budget, and inform us of what we could expect for the coming week. The workers took copious pictures as they went as well as detailed pictures of problem areas that would ultimately need special attention. All of the pictures, finances, status notes, etc. were maintained on a web site that only we could access. Lastly, we cannot praise the level of workers they assigned to our project. Every one was highly skilled and personable. We were able to stay in our house during the entire remodel and they were very respectful of our privacy when their work required that they come inside. And we are so happy with the outcome of their work.

We bought a 1906 house in the fall of 2012 that needed extensive updating and aesthetic improvements. We started, however, with an energy audit that informed us the first priority was to address core issues related to heat loss first. Carlisle Classic Homes (CCH) conducted the energy assessment pre- and post-remodel and we achieved significant energy efficiency by implementing a number of their recommendations including: removing the original chimney; spray-foam insulation in the unfinished basement and upgraded insulation in any/all areas that were included in the remodel. More information about the remodel is outlined below. •Kitchen: relocated the kitchen, raised the ceiling, custom cabinetry, all new appliances •Powder room: all new plumbing fixtures, new tile floor, wallpaper •Dining room: restored custom stained moldings based on historic photos, new paint and wallpaper, relocated and hung new door with vintage hardware •Living room: removed original chimney, restored custom stained moldings based on historic photos, restored original mantel for new gas fireplace with new tile surround •Master bedroom: reconfigure space, new fir flooring, custom double pocket door •Mater bathroom: converted bedroom to new master bath including custom two-sink vanity, double-headed shower, in-floor heat •Master closet: converted bathroom to master closet •Guest bathroom: new tile with in-floor heat, retrofitted vintage clawfoot tub, all new plumbing fixtures, large closet created with plumbing for second-floor laundry •Throughout: skim-coat lath and plaster walls to achieve smooth consistency to cover cracks and previous wallpaper installations under paint; refinish original floors with non-toxic wax finish; new glazing in remodeled areas; paint on all surfaces We could not be happier with the project that we did with Carlisle Classic Homes. Most importantly, everyone who works for them cares deeply about the quality of their work and it shows. People are amazed when we tell them that the moldings and windows in our living room are new because they seamlessly blend into the room that is full of original 1906 details. We worked directly with our CCH project manager on the design of the remodel. He was clear in his recommendations, but also flexible and open to considering different design ideas. We encountered a couple of significant issues that were completely unintended but unfortunately not recognized until the build phase. With the utmost professionalism, our CCH PM and on-site superintendent listened carefully to our concerns and collaborated with us on solutions that achieved our design objectives and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend CCH to anyone who is considering a remodel (or client) that demands attention to detail, thorough and thoughtful communication and expert guidance through each step of the process.

Carlisle renovated the entire living level including two bathrooms, kitchen, pantry and living rooms. The workmanship was excellent and more importantly years later they still stand behind their work. When it came time to renovate the basement level and deck, we didn't hesitate to call Carlisle. I would recommend them without hesitation and often have.

This was by far the best experience we have ever had with a general contractor. We were out of the country during the entire construction process. We just turned the house over to Carlisle and they took care of everything! The project was completed on time and significantly under budget. Perhaps most importantly, we were extremely impressed with the professionalism and sensitivity of those from Carlisle with whom we worked. They listened carefully to our initial thoughts regarding the scope of work, and they provided constructive suggestions which reduced our costs and enhance the quality and attractiveness of the final outcome. Every aspect of this project was completed to our total satisfaction.

When we decided to do our studs-up kitchen renovation on our 1941 house we did extensive research on a contractor who would meet our needs and share our vision for our kitchen. We ended up settling on Carlisle Classic Homes (CCH) because of their resume and our in-person meeting with Rob and Peter. CCH clearly understood our vision and the type of house we have. What I mean by this is they are used to working in older Seattle houses and are familiar with the unknown challenges that may face them. Because of this, they are able to anticipate hidden issues and will help you budget for these maybes (knob and tube, inadequate insulation, asbestos, etc). As you can imagine, this is very important when trying to stick to a budget. Our project ended up having some unexpected electrical issues (more knob and tube than expected as well as existing code violations). CCH was able to adjust their schedule and complete the entire project within 1 week of the original 13 week schedule. I was impressed with their commitment to finish as close to the original date as possible. If you want a professional company that does what they say they will do, then look no further than CCH. I especially suggest scheduling a time to meet in person with both them and your architect.

Carlisle Classic Homes literally built our 3750 square foot home from the foundation up. They demolished the one-story home on the property and built the home of our dreams. The work took nearly a year to finish, a skilled architect, and a builder like CCH to execute the plan into a beautifully finished custom-built home. Our home is a lodge-style home in a wooded area of Woodinville and Rob/Alex and their team built our home to perfection. CCH is extremely detail orientated and took no short cuts on anything. When questions arose, they were very responsive and detail-orientated in explaining the process, potential options, and what they recommended as the best plan. Every person that walked on our job site (including the CCH Superintendent, CCH employees, and subs) was professional and demonstrated a high level of expertise leading to an amazing finished product.

This project was a whole house remodel working from a basement floor slab re-pour with french drains, all the way up to the new roof; bringing a 90 year old house up to modern standards. All plumbing, heating, and electrical systems were replaced and brought up to code. Windows were refitted, drywall installed, oak and fir flooring refinished, tile placed in entryways and bathrooms, new doors plus one french door for the back deck installed, and finish trim throughout the house. One extra bath was created. The front porch was completely reworked, new guttering, whole house insulation was added, and the house had new siding applied and finally was painted. This project was long and involved but completed successfully. The finished product is a source of pride and I would happily recommend Carlisle to others seeking a contractor for their remodel. In particular the project manager and the superintendent were easy to work with and set a high standard of workmanship.

Carlisle Classic Homes built a backyard cottage for us in 2015. They were very easy to work with, fantastic communicators, prompt responses to our concerns, high quality construction, listened to us when needed and were great problem solvers. They made what could be a stressful build an easy process...

I don't feel we received the attention we should have at the end of the job. We requested some of the subcontractors to come back and fix things but I felt we were being picky as opposed to getting the service I paid for. The finishes such as door stops, heater grates were very poor quality

I would recommend these guys to anyone! Jeremy Culver the PM did an outstanding job in articulating options and the associated costs. He also did a great job of balancing all available options and usually assisted in finding a middle of the road (cost wise) solution to issues encountered. They are on the higher end of the price spectrum, but I am a firm believer in 'you get what you pay for.' Overall project management, and communication was outstanding.

Carlisle built an upscale 800 square foot Accessory Dwelling Unit at the lower end of our primary residence. Had some change orders along the way that caused for some delays, otherwise the project would have been on time. All issues were dealt with professionally. Highly recommend their framer, Jeremy.

I have referred Carlisle Classic Homes to many of my clients and will continue to do so, as they are a great company to work with. As an architect with H2D Architecture + Design, I enjoy working in a team format with my clients and the builder. I have worked with Alex, at Carlisle Classic Homes, on several remodel projects and he is excellent to work with.
