Regarding Ryan M Koemans, the man & the company, I can say unequivocally, I have been lucky & honored to have him & his team on my job at 310 Park Avenue. They have the technical expertise to deliver quality outcomes, but just as valuable to me has been their can-do attitude, no matter the challenge. The scope of this remodel was extensive, to say the least. Also, I have been a very persistent presence on the job site, which some contractors may rue. Instead, Ryan & his team work very collaboratively, not just with me, but with the vendors & other trades. They have been not only deferential to my design preferences but also forthcoming with suggestions where creative solutions need to be found, along the way. He has assembled a core group of very competent, very responsible, resourceful guys who are good problem-solvers and conscientious. Ryan has been forthright & transparent in his financial dealings & reporting. We established a “time & material” framework for my job which I feel has served to keep the transactions fair to both parties. It has also eliminated the inevitable friction that comes with “change order” conversations. In a booming construction climate such as exists in Park City, there are many operators who have no compunction about “leaving you hanging”. I have not experienced this at all. Ryan has maintained focus even as the job has grown beyond the original scope. In sum, as eager as I am to move into my new home, I will miss all the guys, but I feel confident that they will continue to be both friends & resources into the future.
