Connie is an outstanding architect who came with high recommendations from work colleagues. We were first time renovators and with great patience and creativity, she guided us through the project and brought our ideas to life. The outcome was even better than we could imagine. To echo a prior review, we were particularly impressed with her clever and beautiful design around obtrusive structural elements. Our kitchen and sitting area have been completely transformed and bring us tremendous joy. It was a pleasure to work with her and we look forward to our next project together.

From a bathroom, to remodeling a loft, to redesigning an entire building for the local Art Center when I worked as their President. I have had 20+ years of working with Rizzolo Brown Studio. No matter what the scale of the project, there has been a consistency in working with the principal, Connie Brown. She is an exceptionally creative person who designs in the context of many styles—a 1923 home, a modern loft and an historic building. Creativity is what you from an architect but it starts with the ability to listen, reflect and then provides ideas, modifications and solutions. She has solved big problems like relocating a pottery studio at the art center and adding natural light to an interior room in our loft. She does it all very well. She kept all projects on time, something I value very much. She has identified trades people who work well with both her and the client and excellent finishing details. It has always been a pleasure to work with her and her amazing skills.

I've had the pleasure of working with Rizzolo Brown Studio (Connie) for more years than I'm willing to admit ... way before she obtained her AIA status. Connie gets it. Our recent project was a $800,000 revonation of a 150 plus year old structure in downtown Ann Arbor. Connie worked hand and glove with us obtaining Historical District Commission approval. Connie provided us with all construction drawings, building details and materials specifications. More importantly, our sub-contractors enjoyed working with her. A couple years ago Connie facilitated the renovation of the front entrance of my home including a circular driveway. She listens and is patient as I tend to do a fair amount of shouting and screaming during the construction phase. As I always say to her, "design it as though you're going to pay for it". I highly recommend Connie for your next project.

Connie is an outstanding architect. She has many strengths as an architect and is particularly gifted at reshaping areas that are ill designed. There were many design flaws in our home, and Connie produced clever ideas to resolve these issues and create a beautiful living space. She also excels at solving problems on the fly. There were many instances where what we found under the walls was not what was on the original blueprints. Connie was quick to respond to these issues and come up with brilliant, cost effective solutions in a short amount of time. She also has elegant taste and did an outstanding job designing the exterior siding of our home, as well as all the interior trim. Connie is very easy to get along with and has been a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend Connie. She’s fabulous!
