We hired Rick to come up with designs for a remodel of our home. We had a budget of $300-500k allotted for the remodel. After a draft of the plans were put together, we met with Rick to recommend changes. We went back and forth in the design process to something that would meet our needs. We had never done a remodel before and were relying on Rick to guide us through the process. It took over a year to get the final designs. When it came time to meet with contractors, there was not one of the 6 contractors that we interviewed that could build what was designed within our budget. So now we are back to square one after spending $24k for plans that are useless. Very disappointed.

At WoodRidge Custom Homes, our experience with Rick and his firm has been awesome. As a team, we have designed, built and delivered over 20+ homes designed by Rick in Suncadia. His experience in design, utilization of the site, landscaping/drainage challenges are carefully considered. The most wonderful quality about Rick Jones, not taking into consideration his wide talents as an architect, is his ability to listen carefully to what a client is saying, asking for, and then translating that with his pencil into the most remarkable designs. We had some requests for unusual details for our house, elements designed to evoke some specific responses and feelings. Rick caught all the nuances of our conversations and worked them into a very personal house. As we walk through the house now that it is built, we can see the individual elements that reflect our aesthetics.

We are very pleased with the lodge style home that Rick Jones designed for us. Rick worked very close with us and incorporated our ideas into the design of the home while putting his professional spin on the design to make it unique. He has an excellent working relationship with the General Contractor which goes a long way in the success of the project. Moreover, we feel that his professional fee is very fair.

After seeing some of the homes that Rick had designed in Suncadia where we would be building our full time residence, we decided to use his services. Rick was easy to work with as we fine tuned the design for our specific desires and he worked well with our builder during the entire construction process. We ended up with the home we wanted and couldn't be happier. We highly recommend Rick Jones and Associates.
