RH Design and Remodeling

RH Design & Remodeling provide top-notch quality bathroom renovation from conception to completion. We hired Rick Hernandez & his team to transform our master bath that was stuck in the 1990's (including blue carpet) into a 5 star luxury spa-like retreat. Rick was patient, professional, creative & extremely hard-working. He was never fazed by anything - not 3-4 month delays to receive fixtures or having to rent a forklift to hoist the massive bathtub through the 2nd floor bathroom window. Rick & his team became much more than hired contractors. They were our partners in the project, making sure every little detail was done right and correcting it if it wasn't. When he finished, we immediately wanted to hire him to start another bathroom!

Everything about RH Design and Remodeling was great. They were professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Rick gave great guidance in all material and tile selections. Rick and his crew did a great job with my bathroom and I would definitely recommend them!

RUN RUN RUN away from this contractor. He presents himself as a legally practicing and licensed residential contractor but he isn't and this is illegal/criminal in Georgia. This is problematic for the homeowner as he cannot permit his work which can void your homeowners insurance AND his poorer quality of work shows in the end result. Things started out great with Rick...he comes across as a nice guy at first and he does some superficially attractive work. Neighbors had recommended him and I was excited to work with him. As the job progressed and issues came up, things began to deteriorate. If you agreed with him, he was fine but if you challenged anything, he seemed to stew. He made multiple errors (made structural changes different than planned), didn't know what he was doing with some issues and broke items we were going to reuse without offering to cover the cost. His advertised that he uses a dedicated team of reliable professionals to do the work with him but his subcontractors didn't work for him and weren't licensed either including those that did his plumbing and electrical work. After his tile guy installed directional 3D tile wrong (including installing chipped tiles) and Rick didn't notice, we confronted him and asked him to fix it. He refused and turned on us blaming us for being too picky. At this point 90% of the project was done and the project hadn't been inspected. We asked him about this too and he turned dark. He wouldn't admit it directly but it came out then that he isn't a licensed contractor. After that he told us he would fix it, but refused to actually do so. He kept asking for the remaining 10% of the money before even finishing the job. He abandoned the project and we never saw him again. He left our shower and builtin in tub uninstalled. He never apologized or made things right. He didn't even have the integrity to say he wasn't coming back...he left us bathroom-less and guessing whether he would actually finish the job. We eventually hired someone else to finish his job. It cost more than our outstanding balance with Rick as Rick had collected a lot up front. The real contractor kept telling us all the ways the job should have been done by current professional standards. In the end, we spent alot of money and got substandard work from someone we thought was legit but wasn't and now his work is falling apart and there's no one to call to make it right.

Our experience with Rick was fabulous! He redid pretty much our whole house. His design ideas were perfect for our home. He was trustworthy as were all his employees. They did excellent work.

Rick and his crew did an amazing job with our master bathroom remodeling project. We loved our remodeled master bathroom so much that we had them remodel the kid's bathroom too! We got numerous quotes and they were the most reasonable. Rick is so creative in his ideas! They finished the job in a great amount of time and the work was perfect. I can't say enough about how great all the bathroom remodeling went. Very clean and detailed work! I highly recommend them for your next home project.

We started the remodeling project April 2020, we are still waiting for screen doors to be installed and repairs around the house, due to poor workmanship. After we paid the final payment in full in August, Rick was either very slow responding or no response to our needs to complete the job. He spent money on high quality materials, but used unskilled / careless workers installing them. Now, we are looking and living with those poor quality works and feeling the frustration everyday. A lot of money spent, no quality work to show for it. We feel we got robbed!

What a beautiful job Rick and his crew did on our kitchen and laundry room. His expertise and design suggestions were awesome and the finished product is beautiful. The timeliness, cleanliness and organization of this project were excellent from start to finish. We would recommend him to do anyones home who was looking to remodel.

Rick Hernandez is the ultimate professional. From start to finish, he was involved in every detail of my bathroom (master & upstairs) remodeling. His attention to detail is incredible & his most important motivator was my total satisfaction. He and his workers are trustworthy and reliable. I am super pleased with my new "updated bathrooms". From start to finish, Rick Hernandez and his team were fantastic. Rick's attention to detail, craftsmanship, and professionalism is superior. RH Design took our ordinary and dingy Powder Room and turned it into the most beautiful room of our house. He projected a two week finish time and they finished right on time. Every single person that worked on the Powder Room had the same excellent work ethic as Rick does. When it is time for us to remodel our remaining bathrooms - we are definitely calling RH Design to do it!

They have remodeled several bathrooms (master and secondaries) for us and we have been more than pleased. They deliver on time and on budget! They have an eye for color and detail like no one else! They clean up their job site daily! They are honest and have tremendous integrity! What more could you ask for? HIGHLY recommend!

Rick did an amazing job from start to finish doing a total remodel of our master bath and closet. He moved walls and did custom closet built ins. His quality of work and design eye are spot on. He helped bring my ideas to life. He also provided intricate details like custom closet, jewelry drawers, make up draws, styling electronics drawers, and he even designed the height of the cabinets to make sure my lipsticks would fit upright. I fully trust to have his workers in our house even when we were away. I would only have Rick di my future projects. When he quotes you the price, there are no surprises like you have with other contractors. His work speaks for itself....beautiful!
